One of my favorite Japanese dishes is salmon cheese mayo aburi, and this is the closest version I’ve tried since my time in Japan. The service was great, the vibes are very homey with a Japanese-style feel, and the music choices were spot on.
Despite the authenticity and great service, the prices are very friendly and surprisingly affordable compared to other Japanese restaurants we’ve tried in Davao City.
Although the restaurant is inside a compound and a bit hidden, it gets really full during dinner time (6–8 PM), which says a lot. Overall, I highly recommend this place—a must-try if you’re into Japanese food. Their tantanmen ramen was amazing, and the EBI MAYO is hands down a must-try!
They are also not as expensive as others, but with the lower price comes compromise in quality of ingredients. The rice they use could be of better quality.
The food is definitely commendable. Order their kushiyaki (my faves are buta bara, cheese butamaki, negi butamaki). Try their gyudon and pair with their miso soup. Fried rice can be good for two, yakisoba is savory and the gyoza is absolutely delicious.
If you’re down for a drink, they serve a variety of local and Japanese beer and spirits, and then pair it with their arabiki sausage. Heaven.
