Dear Papa Murphy’s Customer Service,
I’m writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your 9367 se 82nd ave Happy Valley store. I ordered a Papa’s Favorite pizza and was shocked to find not one, but several black hairs baked into the food. This was not only unappetizing, but completely unacceptable from a hygiene and safety standpoint.
When I called the store to report the issue, I expected a basic level of courtesy and accountability. Unfortunately, the manager I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive. Rather than apologizing or showing any empathy, he insisted I return to the store in person and “show proof” if I wanted a refund—implying that I might be lying.
I also suggested that staff wear hairnets to prevent this kind of situation, and was surprised to hear that they are not required to do so. For a business that prepares and serves food, that is deeply concerning.
I did end up returning to the store, wasting my time and gas over a mistake I did not make. Only then did the manager shift his tone and offer a refund and some cookie dough. But honestly—after finding hair in my pizza, offering more food from the same kitchen was not a comforting gesture.
This experience was unprofessional, unsanitary, and poorly handled. I hope this feedback encourages your team to review your hygiene practices and customer service training. I also hope no other customer has to go through the same thing.

Pizza has gone up a bit like everything else but quality is still there, I always order online faster and easier to pick up. App definitely could use a bit upgrade to easier to use tho.

I was the only one in there…He made 5 pizzas at the same time…mine was the 1st one being made. The guy that took my order looked confused and not friendly at all. An older gentleman comes from the back and spreads out 6 salad containers on the counter slowing the other guy down instead of finishing my pizza. Older gentleman walked by me several times and never acknowledged me. He then wrapped my pizza and stacked other pizzas on top and continued to make more. I had to ask for my pizza. WORST service I’ve ever received and I work retail. I would fire both of them. It took over 1/2 hour to get my pizza.

I’ve been here twice in the last month and they are skimping on toppings compared to the past. I ordered a veggie large tonight and they missed the onions and I paid $20 plus $3 tip. I just don’t think it’s worth it anymore at this location if still have to cook it.
