Find parking around back. Entered the back door. Sat at the first table, which was not ideal because it was by the door and the bathroom. Very busy, but not loud inside. Service was very friendly and attentive. I got a blueberry pancake. The blueberries were excellent but the pancake was very dry. Was not a fan of the signs/decor.

Classic American diner. Homemade cornbeef hash was delicious. Eggs good. Sausage links are classic brown and server not real casing sausage. Toast was a little tough and the home fries are under seasoned and bland but cooked perfectly. If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely stop and grab some food again.

A very quiet diner with good service, almost too good to where it could be annoying. The mushroom cheese omelette was good other than the mushrooms were cold. It was very cold in here also. This is cash only with an ATM in the place. You pretty much have to park and enter from the back of the establishment.

Spent 40$ for breakfast for an omelet, waffle, two scrambled eggs, bacon and 2 orders of home fries. this is the omelet I received, toast was forgotten for all orders. Small portion for the price, much better service and bang for your buck other places. Go somewhere besides darlenes

Great service makes a meal, especially when you’re having a bad morning, only to be cheered up by the friendly and considerate staff at Darlene’s. Corned beef hash and eggs were spot on. Compliments to the chef. Thanks all for a solid customer experience.

Cozy place for good eats! My French Toast tasted almost like how my Grandma used to make it on Sunday mornings when I was a child.
I highly recommend!

Great little village diner. I try to stop here at least once a year, food is good, the servers take good care of all of their customers, many locals stop there and are known by their first names.

Just discovered this little gem while passing through Chittenango. This trip has become a regular journey for me and it’s a bit out of the way so I figured it was time I found a regular spot to stop for coffee and recharge. Ended up with coffee and more. My only mistake was asking for a cup of homemade soup instead of getting a bowl. So good! I enjoyed the soup of the day pasta fazul and a grilled cheese with tomato. Added the bacon for fun. A good cup of coffee and I was sent away with a to-go cup as well. Very reasonable prices, great service and the food was exceptional. Hoping to go back soon.

An absolute gem. Breakfast sandwich was the breakfast sandwich I’ve been looking for – fast, hot, delicious.
And the service is first rate – kind, efficient, and in my case, generous: I did not know they were cash only and so didn’t have cash on me – without hesitation they handed me my order and said I could come back and pay later. Amazing. Love this place.
