I eat lunch out every week at one of many local casual restaurants in Greer and Taylors. I generally stick to sandwiches, hamburgers, salads, and comfort food. As a casual lunch place McAlister’s is fantastic. It’s clean and bright, and fairly quiet no matter how many people are in there. The various employees we have encountered are all very pleasant and chatty if we want to talk to them. The service is pretty quick, and the food is always fresh. They have a great variety of sandwiches and soups and other entrees but so far I’ve just had sandwiches and soup. They are flavorful, the portions are very generous, and I feel the price is comparable to other restaurants in the area that aren’t even as good.

1/20/26 Enjoyed a late lunch at McAlister’s Deli today. The restaurant was clean, beautifully decorated and has a variety of seating options. We both decided to try the Jalapeno smoked Turkey crunch sandwich with avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese on a toasted jalapeno roll. We also chose the house made potato salad as our side dish, freshly prepared and flavorful. I also had a serving of the Cajun red beans & rice soup which was delicious! The soup was spicy, with bits of andouille sausage simmered with the beans & rice really hot and tasty. The food came out quickly and the staff were all welcoming & we definitely will be returning soon. ♥️

Make sure you check your pickup orders before you leave the parking lot. I ordered a spud max and a choose two with a chef salad and a cup of soup. The potato had barely any toppings and some were omitted, the chef salad I ordered was in the same condition. I literally had to add toppings from my fridge and reheat the potato to make it somewhat close to what it was supposed to have looked like. They also put my hot cup of soup in the same box as the salad making it withered and inedible. I reached out to the store first to provide feedback and was offered rewards points which is unacceptable. I replied to the manager via email asking for a refund and was ignored which made this an even more unpleasant experience.

Any restaurant will have moments when things don’t turn out right or as expected. What sets a business apart is when employees care and try to make things right when appropriate. The manager helping us tonight was thoughtful and gracious as she helped us with a rewards situation. McAlister’s Deli, you have a wonderful ambassador for your business and brand in this impressive young lady.

Food at McAlister was very good and both my spouse and I enjoyed it. We ate lunch there so we got the Half Sandwich / Half Salad deal and it was perfect for a lunch. They also have baked potato and soup. The place was fairly busy for a late lunch but wasn’t really loud and noisy. The atmosphere was very fast food but clean and inviting. The service was fast and the food came out hot. Essential for a fast food spot. I’ll give them a thumbs up and will probably go back for another roast beef sandwich.

Great food and service!! I love McAlister’s food so I picked up my favorite, the Savannah Chopped salad today, then got home with the box and discovered it was missing the chicken. I took it back and they apologized and fixed it right away. I then asked for a tea so I could just eat it there and had my wallet out to pay but they gave it to me for free for the trouble. My salad was yummy as always.

The staff at this location are really friendly and socialable. The restaurant was clean all throughout. Most of the food is delicious, but their soup, especially the new lasagna soup, is on par with Chef Boyardee, at nearly 3 times the cost. That dichotomy of price vs quality is unacceptable.

We usually end up here about once a year when my mother-in-law is in town visiting. Since she doesn’t cook while she’s here so we end up eating out…a lot.
We’ve eaten here several times and the food, service, and staff are always really good and the same goes for this visit.
There we’re a lot of new people on staff tonight and they all did a great job.
My husband and I both ordered the McAlisters Club with the cajun rice and beans. I was in the mood for a good club sandwich and this was just what I was looking for.
If we ate out more, I would visit here more often.

don’t always seek out the perfect sandwich sanctuary, but when I do, I find myself at McAlister’s Deli. It is truly the best deli in the country for anyone who appreciates a spud the size of a football and sweet tea that flows like nectar from the gods. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere wraps you around like a warm flour tortilla, offering a family-friendly vibe that makes every dad feel like the king of the castle.
The menu is a masterpiece of precision, especially the McAlister’s Club, which is stacked so high it requires a structural engineering degree just to take the first bite. Let’s talk about those Great Spuds; they are so massive I’m convinced they have their own gravitational pull. I ordered the Black Angus Spud, and it was a life-changing event that provided enough fuel to power me through a weekend of lawn care and gutter cleaning without breaking a sweat.
What really sets this place apart is the sweet tea. It’s crisp, cold, and served in a glass large enough to double as a birdbath for a very thirsty eagle. The service is consistently snappy, ensuring you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying a meal that actually provides value for your hard-earned dollar. If you haven’t experienced the magic of their French Dip or the sheer joy of a giant pickle spear, you are missing out on a culinary treasure.

Honestly, the presentation was very nice. Sandwich was very good as well with a good amount of meat. Samuel helped us out. Very good service. Someone even came to take our dirty dishes. Restaurant was clean as well. Will definitely come back.
