The food was awesome. The closest comparison I can find is Five Guys, and Halo blows the doors off of them. The burger tasted the same as what I get at Five Guys, but with much less grease. The fries are better — although there are fewer of them — and the whole meal was cheaper than I normally pay at Five Guys. The thing that sealed the deal in favor of Halo was the staff — I have never seen better service at a fast food restaurant. I will definitely go back.

Smaller fast food chain that originated from Flint, Mi. Love the fact they sell boston coolers. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. Burgers are pretty good, better than larger chain fast food burgers. Love the tater tots!

Excellent food, excellent service! This place is way better than the normal fast food burger chains. Only downside…they no longer have Coney dogs at this location! Hopefully, that is temporary. Until then, I’ll just have to get my fix when in Flint.

Picked up,some burgers for dinner. Not any better then McDonald’s. Frozen patties with barely any flavor. Should have driven to Five Guys Burgers in East Lansing. I like to patron the new restraunts that come into the area. This is going to be a one and done for us.

The burgers are awesome. We tried the chili cheese tots which were very good and the Flint style coney dogs were outstanding. I don’t like Detroit style coney dogs which are just chili dogs. Halo has a very good seasoned loose meat coney sauce.

You are better off going to a gas station for a meal that has sat for 12 hours. It will be faster, cheaper, taste better, warmer, and by the looks of it safer to eat. This slop looks like it was pulled directly out of a grease trap, lobbed at a bun and wrapper from across the room, and then wadded up into a ball. I’m not sure which end this will come out of – but I expect it to look exactly the same. This review is not hyperbole.

This was the first time I ever went to Halo Burger, so I don’t know how the Frandor location stacks up to the original Flint-area locations, but I enjoyed my burger. For being short-staffed, the service was pretty good.

I had one good and one very poor experience. The second was bad for several reasons. First, I placed my order at drive thru (jr fries $0.99 and jr Boston cooler $1.19) and was asked to pull forward for total which ended up at $4 something and I said that isn’t right. they thought I said regular I guess. Then, remade fries no problem. Back to window saying $3.34 and I said it should still be less of jr cooler. They said it was only for kids but I explained it was right on their value menu (they told me this was new to the menu). So they remade cooler and had correct total.
Next, cooler was super thick, just ice cream mostly.
I called because I was disappointed and hoped that it would make me more satisfied with the experience. I ended up telling them and it was the manager that had apparently made my cooler and I talked to her. I’m surprised that the manager didn’t know their menu even if it was updated. That seems like a simply responsibility to do as a manager. She tried to explain that next time I could ask for more Vernors and the shake machine just comes out like that.
Needless to say I was excited to return after my first good visit but now I’m not expecting to return given my last experience. I wish them continued success.

i really, really like this place. you get a sense that the staff care about cooking good food. and they are pleasant. for aprox the same $ as a big multinational chain, you can get a great meal served with a smile. they have chipotle black bean burgers and onion rings!

Good burgers at reasonable prices. You will get a much better burger here than compared to Wendy’s or McDonalds for about the same price. Definitely give their tatter tots a go because they are delicious.
