This is obviously a local favorite restaurant. They were packed at lunch time, which is good. The food was really good. After we hunted down a server to wait on us, the service was good. The prices were reasonable. I’d happily go back next time I’m in the area.

We heard about Hickory House recently on TN Crossroads. My husband made a note to visit sometime. This weekend we decided to explore some & try something new to us. We drove around on the lovely Spring afternoon & ended up near Pulaski. He looked up Hickory House Restaurant. It’s near the ballpark in Pulaski. There were so many cars parked all around the building. Only 30 minutes wait said. They were prompt & so courteous to us. The restaurant was full. The service was amazing. Everyone was very kind & helpful. Their menu looked wonderful with so many delicious dishes. Steaks are their specialty we were told. So that was our choice. Our meals were perfect & delicious. We had enough food for another day of take home. We shared a Banana Pudding. Just enough sweet to finish our dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience & will return again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Good place to eat. Had some business to take care of and wanted to eat at a local restaurant. This place was recommended. Got fried mushrooms to snack on. We both got hamburgers, loaded baked potatoes and I got coleslaw. Can’t complain about the food at all. Unfortunately for me they were out of banana pudding. We did get apple cobbler to go. I would recommend this place.

I can’t say enough about this place. I am from out of town and asked for a recommendation. Without hesitation, my local contact said Hickory House. This was the best steak I’ve had in recent memory. My waitress was incredibly attentive and helped me decide on a dish. I’m so glad I listened to her because my steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The slaw and baker beans were also fantastic. The employees there were so kind and friendly, and I didn’t feel like an outsider at all. Thank you for the memorable food and wonderful service.

Nothing special, but I didn’t have the steak, which is what they are known for, I understand? Have to try it again (maybe). Wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat here, but I would stop by again if I was passing through and was feeling steak that go-around.

Literally the best place me and my husband have ever ate at. Food was absolutely delicious and cooked fresh to order. We received our food pretty quickly. Prices seem a little high but once you taste the food you’ll understand it’s worth every penny as good quality food is hard to come by nowadays. We will definitely be making an out of state trip atleast one a month just to eat here!

Hickory House at some amazing food. If you’re looking for a home cooked meal like your mom used to make, this is your place. The buffet is outstanding, and the menu items just as good. It’s a little off the beaten path so not easily noticeable from the highway. The staff are all polite and very fast. If you were in the area I highly recommend Hickory House Restaurant.

Exceptional Southern Comfort Food & Wonderful Service!
From the moment we walked into Hickory House, we knew we were in for something special. Our meal was nothing short of fantastic, and our server, Gale, was absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our experience.
We started with the fried green tomatoes and mushrooms, both fried to golden perfection. The tomatoes had just the right tangy bite, balanced by a crisp, seasoned crust, while the mushrooms were juicy and earthy, bursting with flavor in every bite.
For the main course, the brisket was simply outstanding—tender, smoky, and so juicy it practically melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with the green beans, which were slow-cooked and seasoned just right, giving them a deep, savory richness. The cucumber salad was a refreshing contrast, crisp and cool with a light, tangy dressing that balanced the heartier dishes beautifully.
We also had the salmon patties, which were packed with flavor—flaky, moist, and seasoned with a perfect blend of herbs and spices. And then there was the chocolate cobbler—rich, decadent, and sinfully good, with a gooey, molten center and a slightly crisp topping that made every bite pure heaven.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I finished with the cast iron cookie and vanilla ice cream—and it was to die for! The cookie arrived warm, with a crisp golden edge and a soft, gooey center, while the vanilla ice cream melted into it perfectly, creating the ultimate sweet and creamy bite.
The food, the service, and the atmosphere all exceeded expectations. Hickory House is a true gem, and I can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable meal!

Went for a steak but ended up with pork chop and chicken. Should have stuck with steak. The salad was wonderful for a side salad. Chicken was over cooked, rice tasted burnt and pork chop was sort of tough. Both lacked flavor. The loaded appetizer is good. Shrimp skewer was good. We would go back but stick to beef.

I rarely purchase food at a restaurant. I spent almost $40.00 on my familys meal The hamburgers were blood, red and french fries we’re soggy. I called up to complain to the manager. The lady took my name and number she said either someone would get back to me or send me something in the mail. took my name and complaint said they would get back to me.
