The person we ordered from, over the phone, was SUPER helpful and friendly!! The food is a total miss. Completely flavorless. The lo mein is just spaghetti with an essence of soy sauce. The crab ragoon is just straight cream cheese. It’s almost like the sauces are watered down. Do not recommend :/

It’s incredibly nice to find a place that serves good portions for a reasonable price. We ordered General Tso’s chicken, Honey Chicken, and wonton soup.
I love spicy food and the General Tso’s chicken here actually has a nice heat. Most places when you order a “spicy” dish the spice is barely noticeable.
The honey chicken was sweet but not overly sweet.
The wonton soup had a slightly different flavor profile than I am used to for the broth, more umami, but was quite good.
It’s a small family owned place. Each serving will last you a couple meals.
But come on people. The idea that this food is somehow “inedible” is completely absurd. Unless they paid me and every other 4-5 star review. Is it a 5 star restaurant? NO, it’s affordable, Chinese takeout, with incredible portions and is family owned.
Give this place a try at least once. you will be amazed you can still find a good deal to feed your entire family for a good price in Jacksonville.

This excellent place is my absolute favourite to get Chinese takeaway! Been a customer for a few months now and just remembered to leave a review.
Food is *streets ahead* compared to other restaurants like China Dragon and Zen Dumpling. Fong’s has a really home-cooked meal style meets restaurant-quality customer service and preparation. All their dishes have an amazing flavour that you simply must try.
The dining room is a bit under-decorated, but don’t let that fool you!
Ken is an excellent front-of-house manager. Great energy, ordertaking and very welcoming to customers.
All-in-all, I’d give Fong’s Chinese Restaurant a 5/5 stars! Definitely give them some business if you’re in the Baymeadows, Town Center or Atlantic/Jax Beach areas!

Good Food, Good Prices, Friendly Service. We didn’t get fortune cookies though. I guess that’s their style, idk? Portion Size is enormous. You get the ‘regular’ General Tso’s or whatever and the styrofoam box is literally packed to the max with rice and chicken etc. If you get 3 regular meals (not the big ones) it could easily feed 2 adults and 4 kids with leftovers. The price to food ratio is the highest I’ve seen in a long long time. One thing that surprised me is the Lo Mein meals also have rice which doesn’t really make sense to me but that’s how they do it. When I’m hankering for some Asian cuisine I’ll check them out again. Fong’s comes highly recommended by the local community here.

The food is always fresh and delicious here, plus the portions are giant for reasonable prices! My most recent visit I got: General Tso chicken, shrimp with garlic sauce, eggrolls, and fried dumplings. Everything was fabulous and now I have leftovers for days! Fong’s is my fave Chinese restaurant in the area. However, keep in mind they are take out only. You cannot sit and eat in the restaurant. But overall, it’s worth it

I LOVE Chinese food but unfortunately, I couldn’t even finish my food because I was afraid I would get sick. The fried chicken wings were obviously very old and must have been refried or something. I ordered the Mei Fun which can be hit or miss, at any Chinese restaurant but definitely a miss at this place and it didn’t seem too fresh either. I should have known because it smelled like roach spray when I went to order. I figured hey this is probably a mom and pop that would be surprisingly good. To make matters worse I had a slight wait and was the only one there at the time. The people were nice enough but I am just disappointed that they felt it was acceptable to serve me old food. The only positive is the portion was good I did get a lot, but simply couldn’t eat it.

Tried for the first time today, and besides walking out with WAY more food than I thought I ordered, it was all excellent. And super affordable!
The wings (I know, didn’t expect to order them but couldn’t resist trying for the price) were super delicious. I’m not sure the breading, but for surprise wings my family ate em up.
The fried rice was great, and comes in heaping containers. We got both the normal and house special and barely made a dent. The house special actuality has decent sized pieces of chicken, steak, and shrimp. Was not disappointed.
Cream cheese wontons. Delicious. Wonton soup. Delicious. AND crazy inexpensive.
I opened the chicken egg foo yung and was shocked the size of the 4 pieces, plus the gravy was delicious.
Have leftovers for days. Was a great price. Food was delicious. Wife already asking when I can go pick up more. (No delivery or dine in)
10/10 will be back

Forget the other reviews about the Honey Chicken, those people simply have no class. The chicken was tender and the sauce was perfection. I ordered from Fong’s with zero expectations on a bad day and this put a smile on my face. Best Chinese food that has ever graced my taste buds, 10/10.
