I came here after Herb & Honey was closed and I’m glad they were otherwise I wouldn’t have discovered this place. Finally, a place offering elevated baked goods and savoury pastries. Bakeries serving basic baked goods are a dime-a-dozen so it’s refreshing to see a place like this thriving. The croissants are the largest I’ve seen. The prices are on the high end but almost everything is large enough to be shared. I’m looking forward to coming back to try the espresso. Also the young gentleman on cash was trained very well. He didn’t waste time to get me my items and answer my questions. So kudos to the owner for a job well done on training their staff.

Stopped here to grab a quick breakfast and all of the pastries were so beautiful! Definitely reminded of me european pastry shops. We got a total of 4 pastries and we enjoyed all of them. The total came out to about $30 so it is a bit pricier but a great treat every so often

This is my second visit to the Bakery on 5th and it’s sooooo delicious!!! I purchased a red velvet croissant and a chocolate pistachio pastry. Both were absolutely delicious! Croissant was flaky and delicious with the cream cheese filling nice, light and fluffy. Pastry on the pistachio chocolate was nice and flaky as well. Very delicious, not overly sugarly like some bakeries.! They’re baked goods are very large! My hand is for reference, the croissant was at least 10 inches long and the other pastry at least 8 in. Check out this wonderful gem in the heart of Erie, you won’t be disappointed!

Such a nice cafe and bakery. The pastries look amazing! I got the tiramisu as an ice coffee. It comes w a scoop of ice cream on top but it’s noon so I opted to not have that w it lol. Fast, friendly, and courteous. I look forward to coming back for baked treats

One of the last of the local “bakeries”. Staffed well with more than just inviting people behind the counter, I was truly caught off guard and find this level of friendliness so rare to see.

I was impressed with how pleasant and happy Dominic was.

Seems this place is run by someone of Uzbekistan and Turkish descent. This clearly shows in the quality and presentation of the products, something you don’t see very often here in the states.

(Remember this you “hooked on SWEET” Americans: this is very close to the mid European, Northern Arabic countries “style” but with flair and I know many a country in that area. They don’t do sugar like we FAT Americans do. Remember this. You are getting the full flavor from the sweet….you Americans call them desserts, pastries, etc, without all those unnecessary sugars overwhelming what is supposed to be the flavors. At this place, I TASTED everything in the sweet.)

I can’t rave about this place enough, just keep in mind to bring yourself, maybe, a couple of extra bucks because the pastries are outstanding but a little bit pricey for the average blue collar American. That being said, they are fully worth it!

They get a BIG BRAVA from me and that is VERY rare!

Brava!

We had finished eating at Dina’s in the food court and went looking for dessert, and saw a bakery and decided to stop in for a tasty treat. The pastries look amazing and are large . The service was very, very poor I stood waiting for Service at the counter, while just being looked at, but not even greeted. That part was disappointing given the beauty of the baked goods. The atmosphere was bad as well because other people were waiting around because of the slow and unfriendly service. You would think with the high price, it would also come with better customer care.

We love Bakery on 5th so much! The croissants are so fresh, delicious, soft, and enormous! Their cream-filled, chocolate covered croissants are my favorite . They make us something special if we ask.

So, so much better tasting and value than Herb and Honey or any other local bakeries. We go here almost every week. Highly recommended!!!

I was so hopeful of getting a proper fresh good croissant. Unfortunately I paid about $10 for one that was slightly overcooked and a day old. The place looks good and the sweet stuff they put on the pastries is good but it’s unfortunate that the basics of a bakery still weren’t great. This was about 11am so I really would’ve expected fresh baked croissants. Yesterday’s ones should’ve been discounted.also service was slow and the staff looked pretty miserable.
