Wonderful new cafe in the Downtown Silver Spring area. Great coffee, great ambiance, and fantastic customer service. They offer creative mixtures like pistachio and tiramisu lattes. Perfect for a work session or a catch up. Also has a fully stocked bar and tasty pastries. Located right by the Purple Line construction under the library and next to Edible Arrangements.

Stopped in here to grab a coffee after an appointment at the salon next door. The woman working was very nice, I had a pistachio latte, got a mocha for my fiancé, both were delicious!
Definitely a tough spot with the purple line construction, but if you’re walking in front of/around the library you should be able to find it no problem.
Beautiful set up inside, I definitely recommend stopping by, hopefully the construction clears up soon for the sake of so many small businesses.

Cookies Butter Latte is incredible. I will definitely come back for breakfast Purgatorio. The delicious bread you can dip in the marinara- mozzarella- egg mixture served in a hot skillet.

Beautiful cafe with great service. The mother and daughter are super kind, and catered to all my needs. They make any kind of matcha, which I love! The pizza, oh my goodness. Super flavorful with a slight hint of smoky spice in the salami-pepperoni. Overall a 10/10 experience. Just a little hard to find the cafe!

We were interested in trying to support a business impacted by purple line construction, but the service was slow, the food came out before the drinks (so the food got cold while we were waiting for the drinks), and the drink order was wrong after reminding staff that we had ordered drinks. We were really looking forward to trying this place and enjoying the adorable interior. The food was just reheated fast food and it didn’t appear there was a full kitchen, which is fine, but only if the service is quick. Also, I repeated chai latte multiple times at different stages but got a matcha latte. Would not recommend.

Really wanted to like this spot; it’s nicely decorated with a delightful ambiance & the staff seem lovely. I ordered a cappuccino; it had no foam on it, & overall seemed like a latte or something else with a much higher milk to coffee ratio.

I had the best coffee I’ve had in my life here. The cookie butter latte was amazing, and I wish I had one more day to try the tiramisu latte. Absolutely delightful!

The restaurant is on the ground floor of the library building (accessible from the outside), but currently hidden from view by fences due to construction of the rail line. Well worth the effort to find it!

Iced Tiramisu latte was delish! Locating the cafe is tricky due to construction, but they are right next to edible arrangements. Of course, in the future, when the purple line is finally done, this won’t be an issue. Anyways, would def return!

The food was delicious – I was really impressed because this was well above the quality of most cafe food. The coffee was also great, the espresso is prepared more in an Italian style, which is a bit darker and bolder than the usual third-wave style that is popular right now, so it’s a nice change of pace

I highly recommend making the extra effort to get around the purple line construction and check this place out!

I visited Cafe via Roma a couple of days ago and had the “pergatorio” breakfast dish, which reminded me a lot of the Middle Eastern dish, shakshouka. (I was actually there during lunch, but they still serve breakfast.) It was excellent. The tomato sauce was deliciously spiced and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Inside, the ambiance is casual, but cozy, comfortable, and very clean. I will definitely return.

It’s a tad bit difficult to find because of the Purple Line construction (as of Mar ’25), but once you realize it’s hidden behind the construction fencing along the path at the base of the building, it’s not difficult. It’s located at the base of the library building just before the trail tunnel that goes under the library.
