The warm welcome by the headmaster at the entrance of Bacco Restsurant in Vienna was promising, setting high expectations for the dining experience ahead. However, our optimism quickly faded as we delved into the meal. While the food was satisfactory, it failed to justify the exorbitant price tag of 95 euros for two people.
One major disappointment was the lack of a menu at the beginning of our visit. Despite our hunger, we were left with no other option but to proceed blindly, unaware of what culinary delights awaited us or the cost we would incur. This lack of transparency left a sour taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally.
While the ambiance and service were commendable, the overall experience was marred by the feeling of being overcharged and underinformed. As patrons, we value honesty and clarity when it comes to pricing and menu offerings. Unfortunately, Bacco fell short in this regard.
In conclusion, while Bacco may have its charms, its overpriced menu and lack of transparency make it difficult to recommend to others seeking an authentic Italian dining experience in Vienna.

DELICIOUS Italian food. Paulo our server was very nice and charismatic. The isn’t a menu and they just tell you the menu for the night which always changes with the seasons. There’s also a very nice selection of delicious wines. We had some nice crustini, a plater of cold cuts, an AMAZING roast pork with rosemary, some of the best pasta I’ve ever had which was a lemon cream sauce and ricotta and spinach ravioli. We also had a nice plate with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. We finished it off with a superb tiramisu and Paulo offered us a small glass of grappa. You MUST come here if you can, some of the best Italian food in Vienna !

So they deliberately don’t have a proper menu, where the person can see the prices. They charge you 80€ per person for some menu meal, that you cannot even choose. The food was quite good but for this prices it’s not worth it at all. I’d not recommend this place for a dinner, just insanely expensive for that food they give you.

Food is okay, but for the price it’s underwhelming to be honest.
There is no menu, so you don’t know the prices and it’s cash only btw. so since it is expensive better bring your €€€.

Hidden behind a unnoticable front, you find one of the most authentic italian experiences you can get. Here you don’t order from the menu but rather the chef surprises you with at least 8 courses of the italian deliciousness! Can’t recommend it enough!

Previous critical reviews were spot on – mental note to self: **always** check google reviews before walking in. They deliberately omitted a menu, so that customers couldn’t check the prices beforehand and you basically left it up to them to charge you however much they want for the dishes. They sure took advantage of that, e.g. pastas were about 80% higher – a fair price for a plain carbonara should be in the 12-13 EUR range, they charged more than 20 EUR. At the end of the meal, waiter asked for a tip when there was no service to speak of. Do yourself a favor and do not dine at this establishment. There are far better authentic italian restaurants 2 subway stations away.

This a cash-only fine-dining spot with a fixed-price menu. We came for dinner on Monday and were the only customers, so the owner allowed us to order what we wanted instead of having the entire 10-meal course. We ordered three different kinds of pasta and all of them were delicious. Service was courteous and reasonably fast.

Went there for lunch. Service is a bit grumpy. Restaurant was almost empty. Food solid.
