They have parking instructions on their website. They offer a 2-hour validation for the retail parking garage at 3005 Peachtree, located at the SE corner of Peachtree and Pharr Road. You can access the garage from both Peachtree and Pharr Roads.

There’s a $25 fee + tax per person for a reservation no-show, but as long as you cancel 24 hours in advance, you’ll be fine.

It’s best to make a reservation ahead of time. We went there for a birthday lunch. The staff are very friendly and professional. They were attentive to my friend’s Mediterranean diet and suggested menu items accordingly. The decor and ambiance are well designed, with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. I also like that the place isn’t drowned in loud music or people’s conversations like many other restaurants. The high ceiling probably helps with the noise level as well. We had:

– Oysters with shallot: This dish tasted very fresh and had great flavor.
– Poached steelhead with sunchoke: The fish was very tender. It looks and tastes very similar to salmon.
– Chocolate budino with pistachio (dessert): The portion was just right, and the budino was rich; it felt almost like a mousse.

They have a 90-minute time frame for lunch (mentioned on their website), but no one rushed us out even though we stayed a little longer. Maybe it was because it was a birthday lunch and the restaurant wasn’t very crowded.

Overall, we had a really nice experience. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is 5- stars across the board!
This is my 2nd visit to Lucien and I am even more impressed than I was the first time I visited- How is that possible?

We enjoyed the duck liver pate with buttered toast points, polenta with black truffle parmesan, raw oysters with persimmon, pickled ginger and toragashi, spiced. Duck breast with honey nut squash and escarole, porcelet with turnips, butter beans and peppers, and the award-winning omelet topped with caviar and creme fraiche- everything was delicious. The standout was definitely the duck. It was cooked to perfection- so tender and juicy!
Don’t wait, don’t just put Lucien on your “to do list”, RUN to Lucien! Just make sure you make a reservation first – it’s a jewel in Buckhead!

There’s a certain calm that settles in the moment you walk into Lucian, the kind of understated elegance that feels more like a European afternoon than a lunch break in the middle of Atlanta. It has quickly become our favorite spot in the neighborhood—a place where the details are thoughtful, the flavors are nuanced, and the dining room hums with quiet confidence.

The squash soup alone is worth the visit: a bowl of silky gold, layered with brown butter, warmth, and just enough depth to make you pause between bites. The filet mignon follows that same meticulous approach—tender, beautifully seasoned, and effortlessly classic.

Peter’s steelhead trout was a standout, poached with precision and paired with French lentils that brought earthiness and balance. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you how soulful simplicity can be when handled with care.

And the martini? Perfect. Ice-cold, clean, and exactly the right companion to a long lunch.

Lucian is refined without being precious, intimate without trying too hard, and absolutely consistent in its excellence. Whether you’re slipping in for something light or settling in for a longer meal, it’s one of the city’s most quietly exceptional lunch spots—and a place we’re lucky to have just around the corner.

We had a lovely dinner with one of our favorite couples this past Friday. The food, drinks and books selection were all very nice and made for a complete and enjoyable atmosphere. I’ll go over the dishes below:

Tuna Carpaccio: Probably the most forgettable of the dishes. It was still well prepared and tasted great but did not have any defining characteristics.

Bison Tartare: I really enjoyed this dish, the flavors were complex and the steak sauce was reminiscent of an elevated A1. The chips were oddly the star, very thinly sliced and basically melt when you eat them. My only critique is that I don’t think the protein being bison makes any impact because any flavors it would impart art overpowered by the sauce.

Chicories Salad: Nice dish, palate cleansing and inoffensive. A bit overpriced for the dish itself but it was high quality

Black Grouper: The fish was nicely done and properly crispy. The cassoulet of beans was the best part and the pistou added a very nice bright herbal pop.

Poulet Rouge: Generous in size and big on flavor. I enjoyed the oloroso sauce so much I recreated it accurately at home to enjoy with sous vide pork chops. Most bang for your buck and largest portion.

Lamb Chops: The dish on a whole was very good but overpriced. I simply wasn’t amazed by any of it and the exterior of the lamb didn’t get a good sear so the fat wasn’t crisp. I think it could be done better and either have more food or a lesser price, $48 is steep.

Earl Grey Pannacotta: Nice desert, pleasant flavor and a decent size. I disagree with how the honeycomb is prepared, the texture was not pleasant and did not match the dish. I think a honeycomb crumble would be better suited than whatever weird dried toffee bits were used.

Yuzu Sake Tonic: This is a lovely drink and very pleasant to consume. Worth remaking at home

Gin Martini: I don’t care for this sort of drink normally but my wife wanted to share one and it was actually quite good. Not sure what kind of voodoo they did but it actually has depth and complexity.

Service: Jerome (?) was great and did a nice job explaining the dishes while trying to sell them. Not too pushy and always present when needed.

Overall I would give this a 4.5 out of 5. There are some misses with a few of the dishes and there shouldn’t be at this price point. My real complaint is that we spent quite a lot of money but I was still hungry afterward. I don’t think this is the place for a filling dinner so maybe we will return for lunch or just a drink.

Terrific service from an extremely attentive wait staff. The wine and drinks were delicious. The Lucian Martini is maybe the most delicious I’ve had in my life. The food was all delicious although I’d recommend getting the wagyu cooked medium instead of the chef recommended medium rare. We ended the meal with panna cotta and dessert wine that was exquisite. We went for dinner service on a Tuesday and the atmosphere was great.

Only other thing to note is that the bar is not a fully stocked bar so you can’t order very far off the menu (example – no espresso martini, etc).

Perhaps my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Wonderful ambience. Exceptional food program both in terms of taste and presentation. And stellar service, thanks to having top flight folk, like my guy Mykheir and a very attentive hostess, taking care of patrons. Also copped 3 books while waiting to be seated – added bonus. Cant wait to come back.

So, this restaurant is elegant – elegant, but not stuffy. The vibe is intimate, perfect for a date night. I took hubby here for his bday. He’s picky, and he liked this place. The portions are small mind you; this is not a Brazilian steakhouse. Dishes are understated, but quite tasty. I am taking that cantaloupe matcha idea home.

I think the star here for most people is the wine selection. They have a nice mocktail as well. We had the hamachi, cantaloupe salad (winner), duck, and grouper. All great, 4th place was the hamachi.

Only ding was the desserts – they were good, but not up to the standard of the rest of the meal.

All in all a winner, we will definitely be back!

A great choice for an elevated date night. Good upscale experience without the price tag of lazy Betty or bacchanalia.

Surprising gem. We weren’t particularly hungry so we ordered dishes that looked more “light”. The presentation was pretty. The flavors were tasty subtly without being too heavy or intense. Tasty food overall.

We came for the Valentine’s Day set menu and was super excited to try this place out. The ambience and atmosphere was intimate and romantic. Our server was great and very attentive. While the food was flavorful and well balanced, we were thoroughly disappointed with the portion size. There were barely two spoonfuls for the soup, and the pasta dish was minuscule. For the price we paid, we were unsatiated and had to grab a burger afterwards. Maybe they ran out of food and had to portion it out ‍♀️. Would not recommend going back for the set menu at the price point.

5 stars all the way through. Exceptionally delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.
Lucian Books and Wine is truly a gem in Atlanta. The food is consistently incredible, with a thoughtful menu of small plates that highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients. On our most recent visit, the standout dishes were the crisp polenta with black truffle perfectly crispy and rich, and the pappardelle with pork ragu, which was deeply flavorful and comforting. The oysters are always impeccable, fresh and beautifully presented. Service here is just as impressive: attentive without being intrusive, with dishes coursed and paced perfectly to let each one shine. An elegant and delicious experience every time.
