I ordered from Uber eats last night. I ordered 1. My pad Thai with no spice. It came extra spicy! You can even visualize the huge clump of the Spice at the top of the plate. I can not handle spice and that’s why I insured it could be ordered without it
2. I was charged extra to add bamboo. There was no bamboo.
3. The mango rice, every slice of mango was so unripe, it was like biting an apple. There was also maybe one serving spoon worth of rice.

Because I had a coupon, Uber eats would not refund me. I called the restaurant and I was told to complain to Uber eats. So.. yea, kinda sucks

Ordered the crispy shrimp rolls and chicken teriyaki via Uber eats. I was excited because I hadn’t tried this restaurant before. The shrimp rolls were good; very crispy, and the sweet and sour sauce was good.

Now for the chicken teriyaki. This was literally the worst tasting teriyaki I’ve ever had. The sad part is that I wanted to order something else, but thought to myself, “you can’t go wrong with teriyaki. Its a safe order.” The sauce tastes like they put water, vinegar, and nutrasweet in a pot then boiled the everything in it. I checked the Google reviews and realized they only had 4.1 stars, unfortunately their rating wasn’t as low in the Uber app.

I called the restaurant to inquire about their refund policy. I told them that the teriyaki was disgusting. The girl asked me if I ate any of it. How would I know it was gross, if I hadn’t tasted it first? She said everyone has different tastes, but that if there was nothing wrong with it there would be no refund. I said ok, that’s fine, but I will be writing a very thorough review on every platform.

So here is one of several reviews that I will be posting. I know a lot of military people in this area, and I plan to make sure they all know not to eat at Thai Saim.

Been eating here for a few weeks now and the Panang curry is awesome (pictured).
Panang curry is my favorite curry dish and this place does it so well that I eat here at least 4 times a month.
I have had several other dishes and so far they all have been very good.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The worst dining experience I’ve had in a while. The presentation of the food was good but the third bite in, I bit down on a hard, sharp piece of metal. They claim it’s from their steel wool sponge but this was not from a sponge. It was thick and hard to bend. Also, I now know why people were getting their food to go and not dining in. Children from the back kept running, riding their bikes, screaming and throwing balloons around the dining area. They took off my meal on the check but honestly the entire bill (husbands dish) should’ve been taken care of too after stabbing my gum with a piece of hard metal.

They got new owners, and as someome whos been eating here for a couple years it seems the restaurant has gotten even better in quality. Their food tastes a little different now but its still remains to be my go-to for Thai food in Crestview because its still awesome!

2nd time eating here with a friend. The portions are quite ample and are tasty. I had the garlic chicken (see photo), and my friend had cashew chicken. While mine was cooked to my liking, please know the cashew chicken sauce tasted fishy and had to be separated on a plate. The vegetable rolls and fried tofu were good! Please be aware though that the service could have been better, including checking frequently between the appetizers and the entrée, providing plates with the appetizers, and you have to ask for water as it is not automatically provided.

1st time ever eating here, and I would see numerous cars parked out front. I was seated quickly after an awkward moment with the hostess. The place was a little outdated, but so are a lot of places. The hostess was my waitress as well. Drink order was placed and served via a glass of ice and a can of soda.

The appetizer was ordered along with Cashew Chicken w/o vegetables. While ordering, there was a child standing so close to my face drinking a “juice bottle” that I could smell the fruit punch. The main dish was served before the appitizer, which was confusing for the hostess/waitress. The Cashew Chicken was very salty, and that was pretty much all I tasted. About 5 minutes later, the appetizer was served, “Golden Bag,” which was tiny “Crab Rangoon”.

While I was eating, another child was riding his tricycle around the kitchen area. I completely understand sitter issues, but a kitchen with knives and hot fryers is not a safe place for kids. I won’t eat here again.
