Our Story Here at Pepe Chile Taqueria (Mexican Oaxacan Cuisine), we strive to bring our customers the traditional flavors that our mothers cook at home. We use the traditional clay pots and jars and fresh local herbs, meats and spices to keep the taste that only comes from the handmade meals we prepare daily. Our 100% fresh and natural ingredients infuse flavor to our vegan, vegetarian or meat dishes that include the traditional Mexican street tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, SUPER TORTAS to burritos all prepared to create a FIESTA for your taste buds. I wasn‘t really satisfied with the food I ordered here. I had veggie nachos and a quesadilla with vegetables. First of all, the food was neither visually appealing, nor did it look inviting to eat. And I definitely missed melted cheese in both dishes. Overall, the taste was ok more or less. However, what I did like were the tortilla chips in the nachos, which weren‘t these kind of standard chips you often get. Regarding the quesadilla, I have to say that you couldn’t immediately recognize it as such, it looked more like fried vegetables mixed with flatbread. And you could only eat it with knife and fork, otherwise it would have fallen apart due to the lack of cheese and too many veggies. Too bad.

Ordered a chile rellano burrito with asada & esquite. Waited 40 mins only for my burrito to not have the asada I paid for. Called and they didn’t care. Dude just kept saying ok. No apology no let’s fix it nothing. Don’t waste your money.

My comfort food is breakfast burritos and these my just be my new favorite. We got the hash brown and egg burrito with bacon. Large burritos, full of delicious pico, cheese and plenty of hash browns. Service was fast. I definitely ate my burrito way to quickly.

You choose an item from the menu and then once it’s hot and ready they call you to the window to add any toppings you want. The toppings menu is right by the pickup window.
Great food and $26 for two adults isn’t bad. We will definitely be back.

On the menu, there are breakfast items, tacos, burritos, and authentic, border style, Mexican plates. I loved The Enchiladas suizas! Corn Tortillas stuffed with chicken breast, smothered in green tomatillo sauce and garnished with avocados slices and pickled onions. Served with the side of rice and beans with Cotija cheese.
They also have some vegetarian style options.
They also have Coca-Cola and a glass bottle, which always tastes better than a fountain!
I would definitely come back to try other items because my dish was so delicious!

Very tasty taco plate. Nice owner. I’ll be back! It had been a long time as when it burned down is when I stopped going. I’m happy he’s back really yummy & flavorful food.

Food was good, but not to my expectations for Mexican food, in this case it was a torta de barbacoa with an horchata to drink. They didn’t have Milanesa, which is always my top pick. The horchata was better than I thought it would be which helped them be a 4 star in my opinion. Place is small and it’s an outdoor sheltered area. Pretty nice.

Its such a cool and interesting little space they’ve created, authentic vibes.. Might forget your in Portland! I had a shrimp and 4 chicken tacos. Absolutely delicious! You get to pick your own toppings. That avocado sauce is incredible
