Social Profile:

We are a Detroit based restaurant featuring Irish, Italian and German inspired comfort food. We have our own organic farm located in Tecumseh, Michigan, that during the growing season we are getting most our produce from. We also source as much of our products from local vendors. We are a full service bar with 9 taps of local breweries, a selection of Irish whiskeys, Scotches and Bourbons. We also featured craft cocktails and a hand selected wine list.

A menu inspired by Irish, Italian, & German fare in light-filled, industrial space with a full bar.

First time here. Had brunch. I heard that their ingredients were from scratch or close to it, but not sure. We were both really happy with the dishes that we chose. We sat at the bar and the four bartenders that use teamwork to serve us were all awesome.

The only thing that would’ve made our stay better is being able to pay a buck or two for a little bit of real maple syrup versus the fake (syrup that they serve (high fructose corn syrup, no maple syrup in it) :(. But all in all it was a great experience.

Great place and selection of dishes. The staff is always excellent. We eat at the bar generally and the bartenders lead by John always take great care of you and make you feel right at home.

Tell John what you like and he will find the perfect drink for you and maybe even step you out of your normal drink box.

Brunch or dinner are fantastic, selection is perfect and portions are large. I love the steak bites and the Dubliner cheese, can make a meal out of those every time.

We recently took our office staff out and sat at a table for once. Service was great, John even came out to the table to see that everyone was doing well and get them the perfect drinks.

The kitchen staff is really on top of things, so if you are ready to order make sure you are ready to eat. The food comes out fast and looks beautiful.

Just an all round wonderful place…

We went on Saturday for a dinner, could sit without waiting. Spacious inside, good atmosphere with nice lighting. The waiter man was very nice. I ordered MDBJ Burger, it was big and tasted good, looked nice too. The price is fair about 20 bucks.

The food is simply perfect in every way. The prices are so reasonable it’s almost unbelievable. John the bartender is the friendliest guy ever and his creative cocktails are impeccable. Don’t miss out on the Spanish coffee. This has become our favorite weekend brunch spot where we drive 40 miles just for this place.

I’ve been coming to Cork & Gable since they opened in 2018 and have always had a phenomenal experience, from the food to the service, I am always impressed! We came here for Valentine’s dinner and got some of the specials on the menu including the velvet bleeding hearts cocktail, lobster mac and cheese and crème brûlée. Everything was beyond delicious! C&G has become a staple in Corktown and I highly recommend them!

We came on a Saturday and the only menu was the brunch menu. My wife had a burger which she liked the quality of the beef but sent the fries back because they were not hot. I had the chopped Italian salad which was good. Our friend had a western omelette that came with toast potatoes and jam and he enjoyed that. We also had the cinnamon roll which is enough for three people and it was delicious. The atmosphere is a cool pub in an old roller skating rink. Fun

Would go again and try something else. Had burger but way too big for my mouth. The appetizer was SO damn good! I’d eat a whole meal of it if possible. Atmosphere is grand, spacious between tables, recycled many of the old props. Love the entrance door! See pics. Drinks are pricey but top of the line!

Interesting place we had here. Credit where due! Spacious, clean, and open environment with patio space. Our server seemed zoned out, had no solid recommendations and essentially was there to exist and tap on their hand held. Good orders came out wrong but once correct, let’s talk food. Food was very delicious and very flavorful. Cocktails were on point so touché to bartenders.

Had an early dinner before an evening event and was able to take advantage of the Happy Hour pricing on drinks. My Old Fashion with Elijah Craig bourbon for $10 was a steal, and delicious. I had the Italian Chopped Salad and added a portion of grilled chicken. The salad with extra protein was a full meal, and the basil vinaigrette was tasty.

The interior space is open and airy, with high exposed beam ceilings. There’s bar seating, and an assortment of 4-6 seat tables, plus a number of very long 15′-20′ tables.

I arrived a few minutes late, and trying to flag down our server took more effort than expected. Once I’d ordered a drink and food, service was on point.

One HUGE plus for me was the water! Detroit tap water is infamously chlorinated and hard – Cork & Gabel filters all the water served to diners. I typically don’t have ice in my drinks, but I had forgotten to order my cocktail ‘up’, versus on the rocks. The jumbo cube of ice was clear as crystal! And the free glass of cool clear water (without ice nor straw) was refreshing. I greatly appreciate this extra effort and expense Cork & Gabel go to for their diners!

The food was fantastic! It is pricey so be prepared for a $70 bill for two people. The atmosphere is comfortable and interesting. The service one the other hand was lacking. Our server was rude. Disengaged, acted like taking our order was a burden, bringing our order was a burden. I ordered a diner to go for my mother and they dumped the sauce in the container.
Maybe I just looked like I dont fit in cause I dress down, but that shouldnt decide service.
