The best channa masala I’ve had in a while. The dosa was also fantastic. Although I might not order cheese in it again, I thought it would be paneer but it was shredded cheddar or something, which was definitely better than it sounds here, but paneer would better.

The temple is very pleasant, and the canteen offers excellent South Indian cuisine. Considering the price, quality, and quantity, it is highly commendable. As it is a temple, one can always be assured of the quality, especially when compared to external restaurants. I would highly recommend it to all visitors to Tampa, particularly those who prefer vegetarian options.

I eat South Indian food all over the world!! The Dosas here are good…. The Chutneys do not have enough coconut….. AND please, please, I am requesting the CHEFs NOT to add , 9 Kilos of black pepper and Cardamom in every dish,… Chana Masala, Poriyal, aloo sabzi … THESE ITEMS should taste the way they should, not with so much EXTRA BLACK PEPPER or Cardamom! PLEASE ADD LESS OF BLACK PEPPER and Elaichi…. Please, please these spices need to be subtle not Shoved into the dish!!

Home away from home. Food and service is great. My only concern is they should either allow all to wear shoes or not in the canteen. We entered from the Temple facing door without our shoes on, only to see people entering from the road facing door wearing shoes and walking inside.

Temple canteen sucks. There was a big line to order food. Stood in the queue for 15 minutes and decided to leave. Temple is located in residential area so watch for speed bumps. I prefer Casselberry Hindu Temple in Orlando over Hindu society temple in Tampa.

Pls avoid using Styrofoam plates, not good for environment.
They are not able to manage orders during festivals. Too much crowded. Avoid on festivals.

So I ate dosa and medhu vada. Out of this dosa and sambhar was
good, I can vouch for that. But, they clearly don’t know how to make medhu vada for sure, it doesn’t taste like a normal medhu vada which is made up of urad dal. The vada there doesn’t even have the taste of urad dal (looks like they add less urad dal and more some other flour) It’s can be called as some other vada, not medhu vada. This happened twice when I ate from there. Also, not so good behavior with the customers, kinda rude most of the time. It doesn’t feel that we are paying for the food.

The food is great no doubt but major concern is on the food packaging (Foam plates) they provide which melts by the time you walk to your car in the parking lot.They should think about providing better food packing keeping customer health in-mind, its never good that customers knowingly/unknowingly eat foam melted food. I brought this to their attention and they said nothing can be done as dosas will be hot which is a lame reason. I truly hope management gives a serious thought to this and improve the food packaging.
