The service was exceptional. Our server was absolutely charming and the entire staff was very accommodating. Kitzy beach vibes allow you to relax and enjoy yourself. The food was great! I had a cranberry spinach salad. Everything was fresh and it was big enough for me to have lunch tomorrow. Decided that I could have a dessert since that meal was practical – RIGHT??? Their cheesecake topped with FRESH fruit – Devine. I’ll be back with the family in town.

Food was good.. mine was well seasoned. I went for the first time 4 days ago and decided to tell 17 more of my friends and family members and we went today. The service was superb…..Especially considering there were 18 of us!!! Servers were attentive and pleasant. I, as well as some of my friends for sure, will be going back… there are several other items I’d like to try!

Very friendly atmosphere. However, the soft shell crab was cooked in old cooking oil, chicken strips, oysters, all cooked in old grease. And we paid too much to trash it. But we did. Not impressed at all. I was anticipating this seafood and was truly disappointed. We drove 4 hours away to eat at this restaurant and we were truly disappointed. It was also for my mom’s bday. She was not impressed at all. My mom said it tasted old. Hush puppies were hard and blan.

Fabulous hometown eatery! I enjoyed my smoked turkey wrap with a side of potato Salad. My husband enjoyed his Country fried steak with mashed potatoes, white gravy, fried okra and cornbread (on the lunch menu). The place wasn’t crowded, the food was very fresh and flavorful and the dining area was clean and comfortable. The portion sizes are quite generous and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Consistently good. The cook is happy to tweak or take special requests. Had Gumbo daily special recently – perfectly seasoned with chunks of meat and seafood. Was better than that of restaurants which serve it daily. Friendly waitresses! The owner is often there and speaks with customers.

Their “Sassy” omelette is everything! Stuffed with shrimp, crab meat, crawfish, tomatoes, & spinach! It’s good by itself, but I always add sautéed onions & bell peppers! With grits & a biscuit & it’s more than enough. Also their Belgian waffles are so dense & delicious… perfectly cooked! We always order takeout & the it’s always hot & ready at the estimated time. Whether you are a local or just passing through & want a taste of the Gulf Coast, the “Sassy” omelette is where it’s at!

Great service and awesome local diner. The Big Jake burger I had was great. Two huge patties make with brisket, chuck, and short ribs made a juicy tasty burger covered with sautéed crawfish, remoulauda, and Swiss cheese was totally awesome and earned the name “Big”. Be hungry for this one! Great fries too. Would love to try more here next time I pass through.
