If it wasn’t for the “separate” smoking section – which was barely keeping any smoke out of the non smoking section – this would be 5 stars. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and sweet. Very attentive. They serve breakfast all day (I’m always up for that!). Our food came out at a reasonable time, was hot and fresh; everything tasted great. I just had a hard time ignoring the smoke smell.

Cozy Roadside Gem with Delicious Comfort Food

Stopped by this charming country cafe on a road trip, and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, home fries, and a sausage biscuit. Everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery, paired perfectly with the rich, savory gravy. The home fries were crispy and seasoned just right. And the sausage biscuit—wow! It was hearty, with a perfectly cooked sausage patty inside a warm, fresh biscuit.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff that make you feel like part of the community. If you’re looking for a classic, no-frills country meal with a homestyle touch, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Best part of all— the little old guy who was sitting next to us and all alone, paid for our meal and the waitress told us after he had gone. Thanks a bunch for the kindness little dude!!

I stopped at Country Cafe in St. Robert for a quick lunch. The place has a classic diner feel, and I was seated immediately. They offer smoking and non-smoking sections, which is a rare find these days. However, even in the non-smoking area, you can definitely smell cigarette smoke. If that bothers you, you might want to reconsider. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich with fries. The sandwich was excellent – good flavor, nice breading, and a fair price. The fries, though, were a bit pale and undercooked for my taste. The service was friendly and fast. Overall, the food was decent, but the smoky atmosphere is a drawback. I’d go back for the tenderloin if I was in the area, but the smoke would be a concern.

My family and I were out of town on a small 3 day trip, and on the suggestion of google decided to check this place out for breakfast. First off, Its a local owned, mom and pop restaurant. We were welcomed by the nicest, lady as we came thru the door. This place had a very down home feel, very welcoming. My wife and I got a dish called the scuttle butt, ham, egg, bacon, peppers, several things mixed together, with 4 pieces of toast, and it was probably one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever had. Not only was the portion of this dish huge, it was very well mixed together and the flavors blended amazingly. My oldest son got the country fried steak, and my youngest got the bacon breakfast burrito. I got to try both. The steak, was amazing, perfectly cooked, and the gravy was I assume home made, paired with it perfectly.. The flavor was a great blend of spices, and my son says its the best he has ever had. The bacon breakfast burrito was hands down the best burrito I have ever tasted. The eggs were kind of creamy, and blended well with the cheese and bacon. All in all, it was the best restaurant breakfast I have ever had. If you are in the St Robert area, you have to check this place out.

Hole in the wall diner with fantastic service. Some of the best service I’ve had in years. Very small establishment serving up handmade breakfast and brunch.

Menu items pictured include the club sandwich and the scuttle butt. They also serve fresh brewed coffee and ice tea. Food was what I expected it to be. It was a perfect place to get a quick bite to eat. The prices reflected the portion sizes of the food.

Overall a good experience. There is plenty of parking in front of the building and again, the service and friendliness of the staff is some of the best I’ve experienced in the midwest in years.

Biscuits & Gravy, sausage, 2 eggs over easy… all just okay. Gravy was disappointing. Ordered buttermilk pancake as I wanted to know. What do you think of their real butter? They said it was real butter… whipped. Tasted nasty.

Ok, we were traveling out of town for good breakfasts and were referred to this place. Food is amazing, old school, and creative. I had a breakfast plate called a Muggins. Just get one. Lots of food, and delicious…in the immortal words of Forrest Gump, Thats all I’m gonna say about that! Well worth the trip! And smokers will like that they have a smokers section! And it wasn’t stinky!!!! Hats off!!

It is perfectly fine- if you want to sit in an establishment shrouded in cigarettes smoke. My boomer mum’s generation loved it… I tolerated it because that was what I was conditioned to tolerate…
