The food at Carmen’s bakery is amazing not only do they serve sandwiches but they cook everything fresh daily. On the other side there’s a small bakery shop that has multiple to choose from going from delicious soft and crispy macarons to delicious daily baked cakes. Yesterday I got a order of meatloaf with American cheese on a toasted bread and man let me tell you it was amazing. They also added extra meatloaf sauce. The service is very good and respectful. Amazing place to go and get a good delious taste of fresh food served right on the spot.

I grew up in the Hazleton area and love this place. I am still some what local and do corporate events and meetings. I sponsor FIrst Responder and buy lunches for half the state. When offering to buy lunch for places as far as Altoona they ask if I’m willing to bring a few boxes of pizzas and some cookies. The staff is great and never complain when I call and order 20-30 boxes of pizzas to take to local first responders as a thank you.

The best pizza reminds me of when I was growing up. This is not the average pizza. A must try. Heard their apple pie has 5 to 6 lbs of apples in it. The napoleon was amazing as well.

My parents always went to Carmen’s when they’d come to Hazelton. The deli was closed at 2 but we’ve got to try some bakery items that were delicious. There are a few tables that you can have a seat at. They also have some non-food items for sale around the store as well.

My husband and I stopped for lunch while in the area. We happened to stumble upon them and weren’t disappointed. A lucky find! The staff greeted us with smiles and were very friendly and helpful. The Sunny Day sandwich was out of this world with homemade bread! We will definitely return anytime we find ourselves in the area again!

I ordered a cake for my friends 23rd birthday, I explained I wanted a vintage blue heart shape cake with butterflies. They said they probably couldn’t do butterflies and I said that’s fine. They said everything else was good, when I went to pick up the cake it was cheaply done, wasn’t even at all. The butterflies they put on were rings for children. I specified my friend was turning 23 but I guess they thought she was still a child.

I just ate here for the first time. I bought there cold pizza, a Bacon egg cheese on a roll, 2 brownies, and Boston cream pie. I didn’t like the brownies the texture was hard and tasted old and stale. And the pizza was the only thing I liked. The lady who made my sandwich was very rude. I don’t recommend going here there staff is rude and there food is not good at all.

Carmen’s has been a staple in Hazleton for a while. Food is ok. Service is terrible. Every single encounter with anyone at this place has been miserable, lacking empathy and rude. Will never recommend this place in the future based on the attitude of employees.
