Social Profile:

The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

Wouldn’t recommend at all! I’ve ordered from this place several times and their chicken used to be excellent. This time, however, the chicken tasted completely different, and the quality was nowhere near the same.
On top of that, we found hair embedded inside the fries. We ordered the fries with cheese powder, and they put them in bags while they’re still hot, which makes them soggy and mushy. We were hungry, so we ate a few in the car, but when we got home and served some to my toddler, I discovered multiple strands of hair in the fries—not one long strand, but several short broken ones. Absolutely disgusting.
I called the restaurant to express my disappointment before writing this review. The man on the phone claimed his chefs always wear hairnets and didn’t even apologize. I also sent him photos and told him it’s impossible for the hair to be mine because it was literally embedded inside the fries.
The thought that my toddler ate this is going to bother me all night.

Better to take out then dine in as it doesnt really have an atmosphere. So many options for chicken (we love the spicy galbi and gangam style but honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them) and great side dishes (tteokbokki is our fave). The portions are huge! We love to go before or after a movie in the area.

The boneless chicken is MASSIVE. And all flavors are delicious! Super crispy, no ranch needed!! An 8 piece is more than enough for one person. Spicy Galbi in picture was hot enough but not crazy.

Best Korean fried chicken in the DMV. For starters they have so many flavors to choose from whether it be boneless or bone in. Everything is reasonably priced and the actual wings are so so big and filling. They have other dishes and smaller side dishes as well. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. The food was so incredibly delicious and I cannot wait to come back with family and friends. Everyone needs to check out this place! I recommend the SECRET SAUCE!

Love this place! It’s a little run down but the food is legit. I discovered it maybe six months ago and I’ve visited several times since. The prices are also surprisingly low. The “small” portion with 8 pieces is huge and costs only $14-$15 depending on whether you want boneless or not. I’ve never been able to finish it.

As someone who has eaten bb.q chicken in Korea and across USA this was probably the worst chicken I’ve ever had in my life.

The chicken looked nice but had a disgusting burnt oil flavor and rubbery texture.

The mayo provided was sitting out at room temperature clearly from the texture and flavor. Was very congealed and unappetizing.

I work in restaurants but solemnly do I give bad reviews because it is a hard industry. I won’t be returning to a bb.q chicken after this experience, it’s a shame because it was amazing in Korea. Hopefully they take this review earnestly and try to improve their quality at this location as it appears to be struggling compared to others in the NoVA area.

Easily one of the best Korean style fried chicken places I’ve been to!! We ordered the boneless galbi wings and one of the signature rice bowls. The wait wasn’t long. The chicken was perfectly fried with not too much coating and a crunchy/chewy exterior. The sauce was so delicious, I kept grabbing for more! You can tell the focus is on the quality of the food. Even the pickled radishes were well prepared! The interior is clean and has a friendly, mellow atmosphere – perfect for a night out with friends! Service was excellent as well. I’m looking forward to coming back again!

Am a fan of the Gangnam Boneless Chicken Bites and they are quite big. Order of 8 pieces costs $14.84 and they are big pieces, you won’ finish it in one sitting. One order is perfect for 2 people and you end up with a bite of leftovers if you aren’t insanely hungry.

The Gangnam taste is extremely good for a good hit sweet spice fried to perfection! Try it with some white rice, its a perfect combo. It isn’t overly salty, the meat is juicy, and has an amazing tempura crunch to it becuase their freshly frued. Unless western fried chicken places where you have a chance your chicken has been sitting under lamp for a couple hours.

The service and wonderful and the owners take care of us well with no complaints, very happy and easy to talk to. The place is clean and everything service-wise is relatively straightforward.

100% recommended, come and try it. Whatever old review they had about service, doesn’t apply now. Great local restaurant for the community!

First time trying, was craving for fried chicken (Korean style). Chicken (boneless) was well seasoned/ marinated. Wings was delicious. Cheese fries is not for me, I’m sure other people likes it. Place is no frills, service was adequate and the chicken hits the spot. Breading just enough and not masking the chicken and the sauce is just enough ( not swimming in it). I saw a lot of people picking up and ordering to go. Good food experience over all.

I loved the chicken I got here. I ordered a medium boneless original. The outside is nice and crispy when the meat is juicy and tender and flavorful. It was a good spicy flavor. When I stepped inside, however, it felt somewhat lonely. This business deserves some love and attention. They serve delicious food with a smile.
