Amazing. First time got chicken tacos and chicken enchiladas. Unlimited salsa you can serve yourself. The place feels clean and has everything you need because of the market section. Love the beverage selection.

El Pilon Market is such a gem in our community. The food is always delicious—I’ve tried quite a bit of the menu and have never once been disappointed. The staff is amazing, greeting you the moment you walk in. Even when they’re busy, they acknowledge you and let you know they’ll be right with you, which is rare these days and so appreciated.
This week I had an experience that really showed me what kind of place this is. I lost my wallet on Tuesday, and when I came back on Friday to retrace my steps, they had kept it safe for me the entire time. Someone had kindly turned it in (including my cash), and the staff made sure it was taken care of until I returned. That kind of honesty and care is priceless, and I can’t express my gratitude enough.
The owner is phenomenal as well—kind, approachable, and genuinely invested in both the business and the community. Between the amazing food, the welcoming staff, and the integrity they show, I couldn’t be more thankful to have El Pilon Market here.

Wow, this place is a hidden gem in West Covina! We order their carne asada fries, carne asada nachos and fish tacos for takeaway, and everything was fresh and delicious! I can’t wait to come back to try other items on the menu, check out the rest of the market and dine in sometime. Great place!

S-tier Restaurant and Carneceria! Amazing little hidden gem behind the Edwards Cinema. Everything I’ve ever had here was delicious.
My favorites are the taco salad, tortas, pupusas, and the Philly steak sandwich. I always get a large horchata too. It’s so hard to pick, but the food never disappoints!

My secret spot…they serve FRESH fried fish everyday for 99 cents packed with lots of flavor….I bought 2 of those and one hard shell beef taco with was also packed with flavor…..everything is cooked to order this place is also a meat market if you like to by some fresh cuts and whip something up yourself that’s fine too…they sell beer if you like to enjoy a cold one with your meal and a nice salsa bar (customer’s only)

Okay I eat this place every now and then and it’s delicious but recently they upped the prices which is fine because inflation. However they also started giving less portions. I always get the chillaquilles with birria and now I spend 17 dollars for 2-3 chunks of birria spread across the plate. I hope they revert back to keep customers:(.
