It was a real pleasure to go to a restaurant in Lebanon and tick all the boxes in terms of great customer experience. The staff were very respectful and welcoming. Lea even informed us of what some of the food entailed without us having to ask in case we did not want something as we had a child with us. This going the extra mile has shown the commitment to high standards that differentiates MonMaki from other Japanese restaurants. The food was delicious, very tasty and of high standard. You can tell that it was fresh and done with personal attention to every detail. The Rock shrimps and the shrimp rolls were really yummy, highly recommended as an appetizer. I had the Salmon teriyaki with rice and vegetables and it was delicious. The actual Gemayzeh branch gave this atmosphere of space and colour. Again, the staff were always available and very helpful. Well done Mon Maki for getting all the boxes checked on excellent service, food and atmosphere. We will definitely be going back again! Thank you

Had a great dinner at MoMaki in Gemmayzeh with three friends and we all loved it. The sushi was super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor.
The atmosphere is cozy and lively, perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and happy to give recommendations, which made the experience even better.
Definitely one of the sushi spots I’d come back to in Gemmayzeh. Highly recommended for good food, good vibes, and a great night out.

Had friends and family over for dinner on New Year’s, I ordered a sushi boat 3 days ahead, it never came, no answer to my calls, and when they did they only apologized and said that “someone else took your order, and kitchen is now closed”.
Luckily we had other dishes ready for dinner from another place, otherwise it was a dinner without food!
Although I’m a loyal customer, but not anymore. Never ordering again!

The place is very nice, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly but the service was very slow! We ordered a lot of food they forgot some of it! The dynamic shrimps came at the end of the meal and the shredded crab salad never came and was included on the receipt. I would suggest to ask customers if they would like to order “edamame”before serving it on the table and get charge for it without ordering it.

Having three locations in Lebanon, this sushi place is a famous one but after trying it, I was quite disappointed. There is no menu and the waiter gives you his phone to see what to order. While some orders look really good, others just look questionably assembled. It tasted alright but everything fried tasted off.
The place itself looks good. The staff is friendly and attentive that’s for sure.

We ordered the crispy marinated salmon bowl and a 32-piece sushi selection, including some of their signature rolls like the Lava Roll, Crunchy Princess, and Passion Roll. Everything was good, and the ones mentioned above were definitely special — the Lava Roll was my top pick .
We also had two glasses of white wine .
I knew the prices were on the higher side, but I expected the flavors to really match the premium pricing. Honestly, I don’t think that was quite the case. Good overall, but not exceptional for the price.
As for the service, they were very helpful, friendly and professional.
