Friendly staff, ordered a pizza and it was ready exactly when they said it would be . $14 and change for a medium pizza, one of the only ones I’ve come across in a while that had cheese melted on top of the pepperoni . Good portions for two, flavor was spot on along with evenly distributed toppings, but the texture was a little like cardboard. The flavor helped it along but the texture needs work.

Excellent pizza, the way pizza should be. Atmosphere is old school with a hometown feel. The pizza is amazing with generous toppings and a crust to die for! The waitress has been there forever and handles the room with ease and alone!! She’s on the ball and quick witted! An all around great evening.

While I appreciate many styles of pizza, Ro’s has always been my favorite. They’re truly unique with an unchanged classic atmosphere. I sure hope they keep the legacy going!

we have eaten in and done take out. The Pizza is good but, the waitresses are rude and the booth area is dirty.
The hours on weekend nights are bad closing at 8 pm. Called for a special pizza at 7:15 and they wouldn’t take the order kitchens closed.
Not good.

I been coming here for years and went out if comfort zone of getting 3 large cheese pizzas and got a buffalo chicken and I’m happy I did as our table 7 all agreed it was delicious. The food is Fresh, HOT and comes to the table Fast!! We like to eat in as they serve real dishes and silverware with our pies. They have many booths and will push tables together for larger groups.

Before going to Ro’s especially for pizza you need to be in the mood specifically to go to Ro’s for pizza. I’ll explain; This isn’t your normal New Haven style thin crust pizza. It’s not thick like a Sicilian or Greek pizza. It’s not simple like a cafeteria pizza on a Friday in school. (The best!)
You need to be in a mood for a doughy base, really, really thick in the cheese & all the crunch in the crust. It’s been this way for years and remains the same. It’s a destination pizza if this is what you want with a beer or 2.
Service was good, understaffed which isn’t surprising in this day & age.
What bothered wasn’t the dated plates that showed scratches & grime from oil with silverware to match… but the smell. Musty & moldy throughout the place as if it was 1985 and I just walked down from Griffen for an after school slice! It was so bad that I took the rest of my pizza to go just to leave.
With Daveley’s gone (dumb move) Ro’s is one of the last staples in the Water/Oak community. Hope minor things get addressed with some effort.

Not bad. Service was quick and friendly. Pizza was… ok. It’s Greek on flavor and profile. Idk why it’s called “Apizza”. Definitely not New Haven style.

This is more like Greek pizza versus a place cooking brick oven as there is no char to the bottom of the pizza and the crust was thick. Good staff at the bar with drinks. Just not a great pizza place unless you like Greek style.

I drive by this place all the time, and I figured I would give them a shot. I ordered a large cheese pizza with extra cheese and half bacon, antipasto, and garlic bread with cheese. When I went to go pick up my order, there is no clear area to go to pick up food, so I went to the doorway between the restaurant and bar. A server was standing in the corner, so I said I was there to pick up, gave her my name, but for whatever reason, she didn’t check on it. A different server I guess saw the interaction, asked my name again, and she got it wrong even though I told her twice. She came back out, I spelled my name, listed what I got, and the cook brought it out a few seconds later. I’ve been ordering pizza a long time, and this is the first place that has ever given me a pizza in a bag. I saw other people with pizza in boxes, so I’m not sure what the difference is. I pay for my food, drive a mile home, take the bag of pizza from my car to find it’s soaked through with grease. The taste of the pizza was definitely nothing to write home about, and I ended up throwing it out after suffering through 4 slices. The dough had less flavor than the cardboard. Didn’t even bother with the garlic bread. The antipasto was okay. You can’t really mess that up. I really wanted to have this place be good. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back.

We always stop here when visiting from Florida. One of our favorites with great pizza, employees, and atmosphere. Very competitive pricing you can’t beat for the quality. We’ll definitely return again next trip.
