If your looking for an all around great family owned restaurant Don Poncho is the place. From the minute you walk through those doors your family. Sagradaconcepción is the best, she’s the Mexican abuelita you didnt know you had. I love my authentic Mexican food and let me tell you if I could give this place 10 Stars they deserve them all. We had an horchata, birria street tacos, carne asada tacos and green chicken tamales. Everything was so unbelievably flavorful and the best home made corn tortillas were the iching on the cake. We even placed another order to take home. You need to try them out. Trust me you will never regret it.

Very laid backed, surprised it isn’t more busy! The food is amazing, service is wonderful, very welcoming staff! Definitely the perfect place to go to for an amazing meal with a wide variety of classic drinks. I love coming to pick up food before welding!

This place was authentic Mexican, hole in the wall that you hope to find and are always on the lookout for. Mayra was our server and she was very helpful and sweet.
We had HOT FRESH CHIPS and delicious salsa, ordered some Guacamole (which was good and mild, but flavorful, very simple), chicken and Steak Fajitas (great flavor and char and the corn tortillas were delicious, and Tacos Estilo De Calle Platillo (3-Tacos, 2-chicharron and 1- Carne Asada). The chicharron Tacos are AWESOME!!! Poppin flavor, sauteed with cactus and house made green sauce that comes together with full bodied flavor.
***SO SAD THEY DISCONTINUED THE SALSA BAR
THEY SERVE BREAKFAST AND ARE OPEN AT 5AM Mon-Fri.

We had such a great experience at Don Poncho! Our server, Julia, was amazing. She was kind, knowledgeable, and super attentive. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quantity and quality of the food. We were served quickly and the food was fresh and tasted amazing. Across our party of 6, we had the birria tacos x2, steak fajitas, steak quesadillas, chicken tacos, carnitas tacos, and the Mexican Cokes (on tap!) and everything was fantastic. The complimentary chips and salsa bar too were also delicious adds. We will definitely be coming back, especially for all the deals they have throughout the week. So happy we found this place!

We have been to basically every Mexican restaurant in this whole area of Orlando, food truck and sit-down place, and this has the best food we’ve tried anywhere! If you are a fan of good Mexican food, THIS is the place you need to go! We got their birria tacos which were some of the best we’ve ever had anywhere, chorizo queso which was perfect and even came with freshly-made tortilla chips (a lot of places don’t even bother to make them themselves, they just buy them), and the tampiqueña plate, which was awesome as well! That plate came with a red enchilada that was so much better than we were expecting, the Mexican rice was super flavorful and the steak was seasoned super nicely. Everything just tasted super fresh, authentic, and they didn’t take any shortcuts with pre-made stuff. We had great service and the atmosphere was very nice with happy, upbeat music playing – it was just a great experience overall. I highly recommend checking out Don Poncho Cocina Mexicana – we will be back many more times!
EDIT: You have GOT to come here for breakfast one time too!! Super reasonably-priced and INCREDIBLY good!! Literally the best Mexican breakfast you’ll find anywhere – without question. The Torta Don Poncho and the Brunch Tamales are to die for – the dark red salsa that comes with the tamales are insanely good! I am craving breakfast here so much as I am typing this and we will come back for breakfast many more times too!!

Great place for local hole in the wall authentic Mexican food. The food and service was excellent. We got the tacos. The carnita and birra are excellent. The rice is the best in town. The steak fajita burrito is delicious! The vibe is not fancy, but it is quiet (limited seating), clean and casual. Take out would work well here and also if you just want a quiet place to hang and you don’t care much about decorations.

Several authentic Mexican dishes on the menu, there’s a few that are not easy to find else where @ a Mexican venue.
The food ordered all tasted fresh, the spices used were to perfection, portions were also great for the price of each dish.
The condiment section was the cleanest I’ve seen at a restaurant.
