30nyears ago I stumbled upon the best Panzarotti “Johnszarotti”. Everything else pales in comparison. After moving away, I found that they are still there and still great as always. Inside just a typical pizza shop, but the food is unreal. Their pizza is great as well.

Some of the BEST pizza around. This place has been around forever. Whether you order a full pizza, or Go in for a slice, you won’t be disappointed. They don’t deliver because they don’t have to. Pizza this good means people come to you! Only took a star away because their sandwiches such as cheesesteaks and meatball sandwiches are a little below standard to other places around. But if you are looking for a great pizza, this is the place. The Johnzarotti and the wings are also excellent.

I hadn’t been to John’s in quite a few years and remembered it being good so decided to give it another go. Unfortunately this will probably be a one and done. We ordered a cheesesteak with extra cheese and it had hardly any cheese at all, and the meat was tough and clearly overcooked. Cheese fries had to be put in the oven when we got home as the fries were literally white like barely fried. Also got a pizza which was ok but not really anything to write home about. I also found the customer service to be pretty lacking, both on the phone while ordering and picking up- just super short and not one hello, goodbye, thank you, you’re welcome, have a nice day- nothing. I actually could overlook this if the food was worth it but that’s not the case.

My review is only for the pizza. I had two slices and they were a pretty decent size. The taste was of an average slice of pizza. It wasn’t bad. $4 a slice is a bit steep. I will try the Johnzarotti next and give my review on that.

I’m an equal opportunist. I will try a pizza from anywhere and I’ve never met one I didn’t like. But John’s Pizza is the pizza from which all other pizzas should be compared. The sauce is savory, the cheese and toppings are always plentiful, and the crust is nice and thin with a crispy outer snap and a soft, chewy interior.
And if you’re feeling especially hungry, get the Johnzarotti. This ain’t no rinky dink, pre-made panzarotti that so many shops shell out. This is basically their full pizza flipped over and fried. And it’s incredible. Don’t bother with toppings either, it’s perfect as is.
