Reviews
During a recent trip in unfamiliar territory, the craving for quality pizza struck, quickly followed by the familiar anxiety of finding a decent slice. Too many pizza joints are frustratingly hit-or-miss. When “Titto’s Pizza” appeared on my search, I confess my initial reaction was one of extreme apprehension: it was a modest takeout counter connected to the side of a gas station.
My skepticism, however, was demolished the moment I took the first bite.
For this initial test, I ordered a large cheese pizza, specifying extra cheese and heavy on the sauce—the ultimate test of a pizza’s structural integrity. Typically, such an order results in a sloppy mess: an overly wet crust, with sauce and toppings sliding off in a hot, unmanageable puddle.
Titto’s defied all expectations.
Not only did the pizza hold up, exhibiting perfect structural integrity, but the execution was flawless. The crust was cooked to a perfect, non-soggy crispness, and the sauce—the sauce was truly out of this world, boasting a robust flavor profile that elevated the entire experience. The cheese was equally phenomenal.
I can confidently say I could not find a single flaw. Even my long-standing, beloved hometown favorite is inevitably too salty, yet Titto’s achieved flavor mastery without reliance on excessive sodium.
Titto’s Pizza is a legitimate destination for serious pizza lovers. Beyond the masterful food, the owner’s commitment to his community is evident; he is not only an excellent pizzaiolo and astute businessman, but he is also known for his kindness and bilingual communication with locals.
If you’re seeking genuinely great pizza, do not let the utilitarian location deter you. Titto’s has mastered the craft, and from what I hear, their burgers are certainly next on my list.
Que Dios te bendiga a ti y a tus proyectos. Y que los ángeles con manos que te ayuden lleguen más pronto que tarde.
There are also SALADS (hard to find decent ones in the area) and a few vegan selections as well. No dine in, but a great spot to pick up dinner on the way home; right off the Delowe Dr. exit off 166.
