First time time dining here. Just finished fishing on Duck Lake. Long day on the ice. Was very hungry. And had at least a 2 hrs ride before returning home. Had the haddock and fries, came with a roll and fries, and had a salad to go along with my meal. Also had to try out their fish chowder. Just a cup. It was amazing. By far the best I’ve ever had. The food was amazing, place was clean, had a family friendly environment about it. And the waitress was very pleasant and courteous. Whole experience was most enjoyable. Highly recommend eating there. Would eat there more often if I only lived closer.

We were in the area and renting an airbnb. We were able to call and place an order for pick-up. It was decent, not the best but good enough. We got dinner for pickup and we got the chicken sandwich and a rodeo burger both with fries.
The following morning we got breakfast. They were super nice and flexible with adjusting what came with the food. The portions were small and wasn’t very filling. Food wasn’t seasoned but it’s from a dinner attached to a gas station so I shouldn’t get my hopes up. But we learned breakfast here wasn’t the greatest but dinner was slightly better.
Still decent since it was near by and simple.

The food was delicious! I got the chicken Parm and thought the presentation and flavors were on point. My son ate his entire meal which says a lot. I love eating here and I’ll definitely be back.

This is a restaurant attached to a convenience store/gas station.
We went for a late breakfast; which was delicious. The waitress was very attentive and not only answered our questions but, brought us a sample of the menu item we asked about!
The open floor plan means unintentional listening to other’s louder conversations. But, you can learn a lot about Howland without having to ask.

Food was unremarkable, service fair. Portions modest. Pie at 7 dollars a slice seems a bit high. As much as I hate fast food. Next time I’ll stop somewhere for a burger.

I have been going here for years, and actually really like the new owner. Unfortunately the quality of the food being purchased to serve has gone drastically down hill. I’m very disappointed. I had friends that complained about breakfast and I said it must of been an off day . They tried again, and have said never again. I now understand why. Very disappointed

Didn’t eat here but just stopped for gas and used the washroom. The cashier in the store was extremely friendly and made my kids day. They were having a hard time as we’d been traveling for like 7 hours so far and she cheered them up!

This is a little hole in the wall diner the food is home cooked prices are great service is good people are friendly as there are many “regulars” it is a must to stop and enjoy a great meal! I am a server at a big truck stop and this is by far the best little hole in the wall that I tell my customers that they must try it!

While visiting family in Howland, we stopped in an early Friday evening at around 6:15 p.m. not realizing they close at 7:00. However they were very cordial and waitress who had a splint on her arm was very helpful. I end up with the homemade meatloaf wishes is very very tasty. Outside of one dish that the person was not very happy with the sauce everybody seem to have enjoyed themselves. And their pies are delicious. My partner had a Oreo cheesecake in the little one had a Snickers one. I ended up with the last peanut butter ganache pie and it was succulent. Although it was a one-time visit cuz we left on Sunday it was a good memory.

Top notch diner breakfast place, big menu, homemade home fries, bread and more. Gargantuan pancakes. Great hot chocolate. Super nice waitress.
