Very disappointing cafe experience. When they asked me if I wanted a 16 ounce cappuccino, I got the small cappuccino and there was so much foam I thought it was a bubble bath. I got maple flavor in it, but it ended up tasting burnt. I’m not sure if that was an issue with the coffee or the combination with the flavor. My wife got hazelnut oat decaf latte and it was OK. However, it was super sweet, I don’t think they measured out The syrup and just poured it into the cup. No art either in my cup, which is a bit disappointing for a specialty coffee shop. They have great equipment, but aren’t utilizing it to their potential.

Gryphon Coffee offers a warm, inviting space that perfectly complements its quality coffee and excellent service. I recently stopped by for a quick cup of their drip coffee and left genuinely impressed—not just by the drink itself, but by the overall experience.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, which immediately set a positive tone. Even during a moderately busy period, they kept things moving smoothly while still making time for small, pleasant interactions. It’s clear they care about both the coffee and the customer experience.
As for the drip coffee—it was simple, but very well-executed. Sometimes, that’s all you need. It had a balanced flavor profile with just the right level of brightness and a clean, satisfying finish. It’s the kind of coffee you can enjoy slowly, whether you’re catching up on work or just relaxing with a book. No frills, no gimmicks—just well-brewed, high-quality coffee that shows attention to detail.
The ambiance inside the café was cozy and relaxed, with a mix of locals and students, making it a great spot to hang out or work for a while. Gryphon Coffee doesn’t try too hard—it simply delivers on the essentials. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good coffee and thoughtful service.

What an amazing coffee house!! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is super friendly and personable, and they made my iced mint tea to perfection. They have gorgeous artwork on the walls (and it’s for sale!!), while there’s soothing hip music playing throughout the cafe. I love the sounds of coffee being made, too. And my fav thing about this place is the propagation station at the front. What an awesome thing! We need more plants in the world!! Lots of people doing work on their laptops or enjoying a good book.

I enjoyed my quick stop into the cafe on a snowy day! The gingerbread latte with oat milk was great (vegan) and they also had a vegan scone and coffee cake! So I was pleasantly surprised with the vegan pastries. Everything was yummy and the staff were wonderful. I didn’t look over the food menu, so I can’t comment there. But I’ll definitely be back 🙂

Service was great, got my order quickly and they were super nice. They had plenty of seating, it’s a cute cafe. The food was alright, pretty mid tier. The coffee is good, but there are definitely places I prefer over it. I got a caramel iced coffee also known as a nitro cold brew, and then my mom got a chair tea latte with almond milk, but she did say it tasted weird. Overall the experience was alright.

Overall, I really like the aesthetic of Gryphon Cafe and the warm, friendly customer service—Grace was especially kind and helpful, and there was also a great guy on staff whose name I didn’t catch. The space has a clean, modern vibe, but I wish they offered some comfier seating. Every chair is wooden, which makes you wonder if they’re trying to subtly discourage lingering.
The food was just okay—not bad, but not quite good enough to justify the higher prices, especially considering there are better and more affordable food options nearby. I did enjoy their chai tea latte, which is surprisingly hard to find a decent one these days. It’s not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely makes my top 5.
Their croissants are impressively large and pretty good. However, I was disappointed by their beignets, which were basically just sugar-covered doughnuts—not quite living up to the name. I also tried their Earl Grey hot chocolate, which was unique and surprisingly tasty, but the portion was tiny (8 oz) for the price.
One thing I really appreciate is that Gryphon Cafe participates in the Too Good To Go app, which helps reduce food waste by offering discounted bags of unsold food at the end of the day. It’s a great initiative and definitely adds to the shop’s appeal.
All in all, it’s a pleasant place with great people and a few standout drink options, but there’s room for improvement in food quality and seating comfort.

The atmosphere and staff are very warm and parking was pretty easy. The hot chocolate I had was the best I have ever had. I am giving this a 4 star review rather than a 5 because I didn’t care for my foager sandwich. It had eggs, mushrooms, cheese and tomatoes. All things I like, but I didn’t care for them with this. All in all, I would totally go back again. My friend got avocado toast with the banana foster and loved it.

Quite a lovely place I stumbled upon! I ran in for a quick cup of coffee and wish I would’ve enjoyed it inside the cafe instead of my car. The cafe has such a lovely ambiance and the staff were warm and friendly. My mocha and vanilla biscotti were absolutely delicious too! I highly recommend!!
