We had a group so had a reasonable wait time. The customer service from the hostess and waitress were excellent. The owner or manager was very rude to our group. Then, a little after we received our food he stood by our table arms crossed with a sour look on his face. We had witnessed him be nice, greet every other table and asked about their food. Once he stood there for an uncomfortable amount of time, I tried to break the tension by saying our waitress was excellent and we were wrapping up to leave so the tables would be back open shortly. He rudely said I know and gave a mean dismissive look. We will never patronize again which I’m sure is what he wanted. I would advise people of color to think twice about this restaurant. The vibes at the top are not inclusive and seem pretty discriminatory actually. This surprised us because we saw Latinos working in the kitchen but I guess there’s a difference between working in the back and sitting in the dining area.

The portions are plentiful and in today’s economy you get a significant amount of food for the price. Service was very good. The food tasted OK, but the hash browns tasted like they were cooked in old grease. I also wasn’t a fan of the sausage in the gravy. Otherwise, the Sunrise breakfast was good. I would certainly go there again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Wow. I drove over from Waterloo today as it was 12:30 on a Sunday and the options for breakfast at that time are very few. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in by at least 3 employees. My omelette was more than enough and the pancakes tasted like Cracker Barrel’s. The atmosphere is so wholesome. Prices are very reasonable. Service is so important to me and this place did not let me down. I look forward to dining again and will have to try their dinner next time! If you want to feel like you’re dining at your sweet grandma’s house again, here’s your place.

This is our new favorite breakfast place. They are busy buy we got a table right away. The service was excellent. They asked constantly if we needed our drinks topped off. Food came fast and our order was correct. The portions were large. My husband said the biscuits and gravy were the best he’s ever had. I had the stuffed crepes with strawberries. They had a huge portion of cream cheese in the center and a ton for strawberries on top. They were a homemade mix and not from a box. Highly recommend

Chicken tenders were excellent. Just needed a little more seasoning in the breading. Service was good. When any of the staff came by our table, we were asked if we needed anything.

My dad found this place online as a place to try. Talk about a good find! We were seated right away, our server was so genuinely nice! Food was good, a lot of it for not a lot of money. Those with tight budgets will find ordering one meal to actually be three meals! It would definitely last one person a couple of days. The cherry on top was our server saying we were her favorite table! We will definitely be back!
