1st time haven’t tried this place in Boardman. I had the original dave’s cosmic sub along with the order of fries. Definitely a good sandwich with their special sauce, which is kind of like a vinaigrette. One order of fries is almost plenty for three people. Well made not overcooked.. with all the options in Boardman for sandwiches. This is definitely a place you can come to over and over.

(Generous portions of the best fresh cut fries).
My personal favorite is their signature “The Original Dave sub, asked to prepared “HOT” (toasted) with Hot Peppers—it’s loaded with layers of premium meats, (pepperoni, genoa salami, prov cheese (melted), banana peppers etc., and their house-made Dave’s Cosmic Sauce that ties it all together. The place is clean . The atmosphere is great . Playing great oldies music. The employees are fantastic. They took my orders correctly the first-time. Then when my orders were ready, they brought them to my table. Making us feel like kings. The subs were huge and delicious.

I absolutely recommend Dave’s party trays for events as they are made up of your choice of subs w/all the condiments. They quickly disappear is the only downfall as everyone LOVES these subs. If dining in the restaurant it’s a fun experience as well and we always add in some of their delicious chips & glass bottle pops. Now that I’m doing this review, I think for the next Halloween party, I’ll include those glass bottles of pop to the festivities. I’ve never had a sub from Dave’s that I didn’t love.

I wanted to like this place. I ordered a large cheese steak. It was the worst cheese steak I’ve ever had. I had to keep spitting fat unchewable steak bits out. The meat was low quality and the flavor wasn’t great. I won’t be going back with so many other great options around.

A quaint little place! We stopped in for a quick bite on a date night and were pleasantly surprised. Not sure what we were expecting, but when we entered, the place was clean and the guy at the counter was patient with is and very helpful! Being from the south, we were very familiar with Zapp’s chips; when the gentleman was telling us the chips we were looking at were similar to a voodoo chip, we were surprised and pleased! The sandwich was about 8 inches long? (I’m not toting a tape measure around and I just eyeballed it. There. I said it!) If you’re starving, order 2. The sandwiches were delicious and the drinks were pretty good also (the green one is like sprite and the blue one tastes like a blue Nehi). The only dislike I had was the pickle. I’m a diehard sour lover. These are what some people would call artisinal pickles I guess? Basically a cucumber that has been pickling for a week and that’s it. Other than that I would go back again. Fast and friendly service, good food, clean restaurant.

The veggie burger was awesome. Full of flavor! There was a huge amount of fries which I couldn’t finish. Plus they carry black cherry soda which alot of places don’t. Can’t think of one complaint.

Tried Dave’s Cosmic Subs for the first time. Both subs were great, I swapped out the banana peppers for hot peppers on mine & my husband devoured his meatball sub. This place blows subway out of the water by far! Definitely our go to sub joint moving forward

Stop reading this and go see for yourself. Best Subs in Town hands down. I’ve been in many times. The Bread is the Best. Crispy on the outside, soft center, perfect flavor. Sauces are perfect. I had the Daves Bleu hold the mayo. It’s one of my favorites, though it’s hard to choose. Best Reuben. Corned beef is so good. Best Meatball. Great Sausage. I want to try the tuna melt next. I’ve taken party trays to gatherings, always a hit. Super nice staff, happy to customize your orders when you ask. Best Sandwich Shop Around.
