Always love being in this shop. It’s very cozy and has a really nice atmosphere. The staff is wonderful (I usually am served by the redhead with glasses great service) and the ice cream is great. Would definitely recommend!

Wife and I stopped for an evening treat. We left, very unimpressed.
Ice cream had an “old freezer” taste to it. Ice cream was scooped with no glove or napkin around the cone.
The young man was polite and cordial but the ice cream was less than acceptable.
I would NOT recommend this shop.

Never been this dissatisfied in a Icecream parlor. We loved it when it was scoops but wanted to try it again under new shop name. Icecream was great other than the small scoops in the waffle cone. Awful customer service- didn’t talk unless spoke to and tried to charge $21 for 2 waffle cones 🙁 will not be back.

The employees working here are very nice. But $5 for a tiny little cup of ice cream that tastes freezer burned really isn’t worth it. I was kind of excited to find an ice cream place right around the corner from my house but I don’t think I’ll be back.

I’m glad someone opened this little ice cream shop again under new management. The place looks great. The service was great. My ice cream was good! In a waffle cone that was excellent. I’ve seen others complain about theirs but mine was crispy and top notch. Give them a try!

My best friend and I went to sips and scoops and got two waffle cones with two scoops. Mine was cherry vanilla and blackberry. The cherry vanilla didn’t really have a taste….. kinda just tasted cold and sweet. The blackberry was alright. At least it had a flavor. The waffle cones were atrocious. They were soft and a little flimsy which allowed ice cream to seep in and leak out. The bottom of the cone also started dripping which made us both have to go outside and man spread to not get any ice cream on our clothes. If you are preparing for an ice cream eating contest, this is the place to go. It was honestly stressful and I couldn’t really…enjoy my ice cream. My friend got chocolate and cookies and cream. They said the chocolate didn’t really taste like chocolate- and the cookies and cream didn’t taste like it really had cookie in it. Overall it was mid and slightly annoying. I understand it just opened, but sips and scoops has a LOT of room for improvement.

What’s the point of opening yet another ice cream place if you don’t make the ice cream. I understand it’s the local homestead ice cream. But I can go to Kroger and buy a whole container of their ice cream for almost the same price as a waffle cone.
The prices are comparable to blue cow, yet nothing special like blue cow.
They didn’t even have the license for having boba drinks yet. Don’t open yet if you only have half of what you can sell.
The inside looks run down with random cheap tables put inside. It’s like there was no actual thought to it.
So disappointing.
For those prices I’ll stick to blue cow or kippys.

Workers were nice, but the waffle cones clearly weren’t fully cooked. The ice cream seeped through the cone and the bottom was open so it just melted and dripped everywhere. As for the taste it wasn’t horrible, it just all tasted like cold sugar, no distinct flavors.

Husband ordered a peanut butter shake, now if you order something with peanut butter, you expect it to maybe kinda taste like peanut butter. Tasted like a vanilla shake. I also got a scoop of the peanut butter ice cream…again not much taste. I know they just opened so we will try it again but if not better, will not go back. Sure do miss SCOOPS
