Incredible food in a local, friendly location. I didn’t expect much heading in here on the side of a gas station but was amazed. The man working gave great recommendations and offered samples. The food was outstanding with enormous portions. The medium container was literally bent full of food. Pulled pork was well seasoned but still mild, jerk chicken was very spicy but super tender and flavorful, plantains were perfect, and all three rice options are delicious. Must-try!

My grandmother and I stopped in to look at the menu and left with a bag full of food. We had such an amazing experience here! The service was absolutely fantastic, the owner was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond. He let us sample every food item, even the dessert flan, and took the time to explain how everything is made fresh with high-quality ingredients. You can truly taste the difference; every dish was packed with flavor, and the portions were so generous. His attitude and personality made the visit even better. I can’t recommend this place enough. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you for the amazing experience!!

From the moment we walked in, the service of this place was absolutely outstanding. The man in the front immediately started handing out samples—even before we reached the counter. They went above and beyond by giving us generous meat samples and asking about our food preferences to make sure we’d enjoy what we ordered.
What stood out most though was how they greeted every guest warmly while still managing to take orders efficiently. Even as more people came in we never once felt like service was rushed or insincere.
It’s rare to find a place that balances speed, care, and personality so perfectly—but this spot nailed it perfectly.
And now the food review…. I can’t even begin to tell you how much of a worthy eat this is so I will let the pictures do the talking. Support this business and you will not regret it!

After a long trip through the New England states, we decided to stop here before our flight out. And you can belive me when I say that this was single-handedly the best food on the whole trip. It was our first time, and they were super friendly, and had us taste all of the food in small cups before we ordered. Both of the workers were super friendly, and were good at making conversation while we tasted the food. When it came to ordering, I ended up getting a small, and it was still packed full of food. I got the yellow rice, with the most delicious beans you will ever eat on top. For protein, I got the baked chicken. You will never have chicken ever as good as this the rest of your life if you don’t come back to here. It falls right off the bone, shown by when they grabbed it, and it almost fell apart right on the bone, just trying to put it into the container. It is the most moist, most flavorful, most everything chicken. This restaurant is worth a trip alone for it, and that isn’t a stretch. I will be back.

Absolutely amazing So glad I finally made it to 809 Cafe for dinner! Not only is the food amazing but for $18 I have lunch for tomorrow too! The owner was super nice and let me sample one of everything to help me decide what I wanted…I wanted some of everything! Thank you for the excellent meal, I will be back!

I read alot of great reviews. They all right!!! The food is delicious (everything and you will find out cuz the give you a sample of everything) and the customer service is amazing!!! CALLING ALL TRUCKERS!!! They opened a Dominican spot here on 95 at the American Truck Stop!! Forget McDonald’s and Sbarro, come get you a delicious plate for a great price! My advice for the owner, we need more advertising to see you! I found yall on accident looking around the truck stop! Thank you seriously for opening up and please take my money!

This place is spacious and cute! If you want to experience real Dominican vibes to include delicious Dominican dishes, this is your spot. Both English and Spanish is spoken, all of the meat is tender and juicy and packed with flavor. There are assortments of drinks and desserts. If you haven’t been yet, you are definitely missing out! The team is friendly, service is top notch. Continue to let friends and family know where to go!
