I snagged a reservation here for NYE for 4 people. In order of the photos, we got the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap (hot stone bowl) ($21), Pork Bulgogi ($18), 2 Yaki Udon’s (beef & chicken) ($19 x 2), Avo Cucumber Roll ($9), Dynamite Roll ($14), and Pork Gyoza ($10).

I was very happy with the service, they were organized, very kind and providing service at a steady pace. One thing to note is that you go up to pay at the till!

The pork gyoza was amazing, they’re mild tasting but hand made. I recommend giving these a try.

My Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap was ordered on suggestion of the staff member. It consisted of various vegetables, bulgogi server over rice in a hot stone bowl with an egg on top. While it was fresh and light tasting, I wouldn’t order again. Personally, I would have preferred something with more flavour and with more protein. There is a novelty in a hot stone bowl! At the end of the day, I’m happy to have tried it.

The sushi was also amazing, I love freshly made sushi and that’s exactly what we got.

Now if you come to this restaurant… I Highly, HIGHLY recommend their Yaki Udon. This is a stir fried dish full of comforting flavours that I would never tire of eating. The udon noodles were soft and there was a bit of a crunch to the dish to add some texture. My brother’s girlfriend and I will return literally just to taste this dish again. My only comment on this dish is that I felt there wasn’t enough meat in the beef dish. But either way, I’m definitely coming back for more. I just hope next time they have dessert options!

When everything was said and done, prices were reasonable. After taxes and tip it was around $120 to feed 4 adults. And it was good food provided by locals!

I recommend this Japanese and Korean fusion restaurant. Get the Yaki Udon, but don’t be afraid to try something else.

Started with a miso soup and volcano roll (prawn tempura, crab & tuna) followed by a kimchi bibimbap which was a first for me! Absolutely delicious and I love how the eggs, cheese, rice and everything else just continued to cook in that sizzling hot bowl as I ate it!

I loved the vibe and service was fantastic!

The staff is lovely and the restaurant itself has a pleasant atmosphere. However, the menu felt surprisingly limited for a sushi fusion spot. There was not a single raw fish option. Most rolls featured imitation crab meat, deep-fried components like prawn tempura or heavy sauces like chili mayo and cream cheese. The edamame and agedashi tofu were fine, and the miso soup was quite good. Those who prefer cooked rolls would probably love it here, but traditional sushi fans may find it a bit disappointing

We truly love Orange Fusion. The rolls are to die for. Ashley is one of the best servers/hostesses in the city. You cannot go wrong by choosing to spend an evening in this little gem of a restaurant in the Cathedral area.

TLDR – Food was alright. Not worth a 50 minute wait. Other tables were getting their food.

Our group arrived at the restaurant around 10minutes after opening. There was one other table seated in the restaurant. We ordered 2 japchaes, one yaki udon, one bulgogi sandwich, karaage chicken and one miso soup.

The food was alright. The japchae was a little on the sweet side and the yaki udon was a little too oily. The karaage chicken was a little far from what I had in mind, but this is a fusion place so maybe that was what they meant it to be, taste wise it wasn’t bad. The Bulgogi Sandwich, according to my friend, was pretty good. Food wise, it seemed like a place which was alright but not exactly worth going out of your way for.

The reason for 2 stars was we waited 50mins for our food which the other patrons in the restaurant were getting a pretty steady flow of food. Food was not worth the wait, nor the price.

It was super busy when we went, and the server was running around from table to table like crazy, but she still managed to be absolutely lovely and friendly. The service was quick for how busy it was and the food was phenomenal. The vibes are definitely excellent and there’s gorgeous art pieces (that you can buy) on the walls!

I came here with my partner at 5 PM. We were greeted and seated promptly. There were plenty of available seats and only a couple other groups there at the time. Our server was friendly and personable, and gave great recommendations for the menu based off of our preferences to spice, sweetness, etc. We started off with some Sake, volcano rolls, and dumplings. They were enough to share and were very good. There were plenty of options for Sake and plenty of flavored options to choose from. Being unfamiliar with Sake, out server was able to give good insight as to what preferences we might have. We ended up getting a plain cold Sake as it was very hot out and it was refreshing! We both got hot bowls, one regular and one kimchi. The bowl was pretty spicey and was very filling. The restaurant was very cool both setting wise and temperature wise. The sever was avaliable without being overbearing, and gave us plenty of time to just hang out after eating. I look forward to coming back!

Orange offers good food and awesome ambiance. The servings are small but the quality is one of the best for resto grade Korean/Japanese cuisine. We’re usually not fans of fusion food because they tend to taste more of one cuisine vs the other but Orange Izakaya is an exception. The Korean LA rib set and Bibimbap tasted authentic with strong korean flavours and the Japanese apps of Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu and Shrimp Tempura are fluffy and delicate in flavour as japanese cuisine should be. Highly recommend and a bonus it’s in a neighbourhood where you can walk and explore so much hole-in-a-wall mom and pop shops.
