Came in because my daughter got a coupon for a free smoothie from her school. It came from this specific location and had its address on it. The worker told her they couldnt accept it because it was “signed by an old manager.” She felt terrible. As much as I wanted to take my business elsewhere, I purchased smoothies because she was so excited. I should have checked my order. When I got home, I realized they gave me the wrong order. That being said, I wont be returning. Its a shame you can tell a child no because of a small technicality. Then you even get the order wrong.

I made a late night stop on Friday May 2, 2025 around 8:30pm and ordered a Caribbean jerk chicken wrap and an island punch smoothie and it was delicious! I had not stopped at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in a few year so I was pleasantly surprised at how quick they were!
The only drawback is that the space itself isn’t as lively as it once was…but my food was great! I was able to take it to go and enjoy it!

My smoothie had tons of hard inedible particles in it. I contacted Tropical smoothie to resolve it but never got a response. I go to many locations across long island but this one is the only one that I have had this happen. Avoid this location! They clearly do not care about the customer experience or quality of product!

Honestly, the best Tropical Smoothie location I know of. The staff is always very nice, friendly and they go the extra mile. They make the best smoothies, very consistent and the salads are always fresh and I appreciate being able to get my “go-to” lunch when I need something healthy and quick, and the pick up is always easy. I really can’t say anything but good about this location, they really are the best one I’ve been to.

I am doing 3 stars strictly due to the fact that the only worker that myself and many other customers saw today, working themself ragged was Ayamae. She was slammed with orders yet the man on register was blissfully having a conversation through his ear buds while taking orders. Myself, having to correct him multiple times while taking my order because he couldn’t be bothered to remove his ear buds and listen to me. After about 15 minutes of waiting for 2 smoothies and a flat bread.. I spoke up and the other customers agreed. Ayamae needed help in the smoothie station. The man on register probably felt more compelled to go help her since everyone in the Cafe agreed with my statements. I left that store knowing that her feelings were validated. Workers need to be treated with respect and understanding. I am willing to bet that the man on register is the supervisor on duty but honestly should not even be in a position if he’s not willing to help his staff. Ayamae deserves recognition for working so hard and I hope to see her there the next time I come in! As i have been going to this location since I worked there 10 years ago.

Chx baja wrap was amazing my 1st time there. This time, not so much. I didn’t even finish it. Can’t say why tho. Was given the option of a banana, apple, kale salad(?) Or chips for a side. Banana shown in photo. Made me laugh.

This location used to be clean. Now it’s dirty and the staff are not clean and have body odor. Food was not cooked well and wraps were soggy. Will NOT be back.

The staff is great here. Zamir greeted us when we walked in and was very friendly and engaging. The quality of food in the Selden store is always great and you can tell they care.
