The Well Deck is a hidden gem inside Navy Base San Diego. The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and has a relaxing vibe that’s perfect after a long day on base. The staff is always friendly and professional — they really make you feel appreciated.

This place is the best to get Starbucks. I go every day to get my coffee and Customer Service is top-notch, giving advice to try their seasonal drinks or suggestions for a good coffee. Their good quality of expertise and their knowledge is something hard to find. Also having patience explaining their drinks and all staff are friendly with positive attitude.

Their beverages are of extremely poor quality, clearly due to a lack of proper professional training. When I requested a replacement, the staff insisted on charging me an additional fee, which is entirely unacceptable. In the end, I paid the equivalent of two drinks, only to be served a cup that was essentially milk mixed with syrup. This level of service and product quality is highly disappointing and unprofessional. Of course the food is good but definitely not drink from Starbucks!!!!!

The cheese steak has very little steak flavor, kind of tastes like it was freezer burned. Couldn’t even finish the sandwich, only took 3 bites, what a waste. The chicken tenders are pre-formed like chicken nuggets and tasted just like them. The only saving grace is the fries weren’t bad. So, if you like horrible food, then this is the place for you.

High quality Starbucks drinks. Solid food, including the best fries I’d ever had. Fast WiFi. Pool tables, games, and a computer room. Soccer field out back. Friendly staff. Plenty of outlets, including some on the front outside wall. The only way it would be better would be if it stayed open until 2000 or later.

Great place and wonderful staff. Unfortunately it’s for military only. If you or somebody you know can get on base I highly recommend a visit. Food is very good and the staff is very polite and friendly. Maybe a bit pricey for some things but the visit is worth it.
