Absolutely amazing!!!
Every time! I have visited this fantastic place for so many years with family get togethers, birthday dinners and romantic dates, and it matches my expectations every time. With prices that (don’t tell them) are below what quality of food is.

Another wet, cold and miserable Sunday (15/2) so what to do? Go to St Clement’s, for lunch, of course. Valentine’s Day weekend but husband ill so I took my book for company.
A rich, warming broccoli, potato and Stilton soup did the trick. The Skate wing just keeps on giving. I ordered a takeaway roast pork dinner takeaway for hubbie followed by the lightest, rich raspberry sponge with custard! Beats Lemsip, any day.
The restaurant was so accommodating by feeding me and providing hubbie with the best meals-on-wheels ever. I can’t thank everyone enough.

A local institution in St Leonard’s – Hastings.
We dined here on a bank holiday Saturday in May 2025. We came with our two children, something the restaurant isn’t used to accommodating as most of the customers are couples or older, more refined folks. The restaurant was perfectly welcoming of the little ones and even rolled out a high chair for our baby.
The ambience is lovely, a small intimate dining room with the glow of table lamps set against a dark shade of green on the walls.
Drinks were efficiently ordered – the house Cremant de Bourgogne, and an alcohol free German wheat beer.
Appetisers comprised of a tasty Thai fishcake, no breadcrumb filler and a delicious dipping sauce; and a chestnut, mushroom and Comte tart.
The mains came next – the hake with broad beans and pancetta was a smash hit. The turbot was tasty but this is my only criticism, the portion was far *too small*.
Sides of buttered greens and a tomato and shallot salad were, well, perfect.
Too stuffed for dessert, we chatted with two friendly ladies at the table next door, then paid and left.
About £114 for 2 appetisers, 2 mains, 2 sides and 3 drinks, a very good value. We’ll come again.

Hands down, one of my favourite restaurants in Hastings. Had fantastic meal here! Atmosphere great, service fantastic and food always outstanding! Must try place when in Hastings! We had mussel, skate wing and sea bass, all dishes were very tasty. Cheesecake for dessert was fluffy and moreish! Oh, almost forgot, great wine! Can’t wait to visit again!

Had lunch here, cozy place and the server was very friendly. Starters excellent. Mains were good – fish was fresh and cooked very well. The guinea fowl was a little dry though. Overall still great and would go back.

Regarded as the best fine dining restaurant in St Leonards on Sea specialising in locally caught fresh fish dishes with a good wine list. We enjoyed the pleasant service, the Chef provided delicious meals and our wine, the Picpoul, was a good choice with the fish.
The restaurant was full on the Friday we visited in mid September.
We live nearby and are looking forward to our future dinners at our favourite restaurant.

The best fine dining in St Leonards on Sea!
This is by far the highest quality dining experience in the St Leonards area. The choice of food is excellent and really looks and tastes great. The service is impeccable and they really are setting a high standard. The wine list is varied with lots of good combinations to accompany the food.
Good menu with lots of choices including fresh local fish and meat and also vegetarian options.
I really enjoyed an asparagus starter and the seafood here is some of the best available.
Highly recommended for a good meal and reservations are necessary.

A must visit if you’re in Hastings! We had the steak and kale pesto pappardelle. The pappardelle was delicious, heavily reducing my food envy of the steak facing me. The service was also top notch! The sticky toffee pudding is quite possibly the best I’ve ever had.
