This restaurant is quite different from Korean-style jajangmyeon. If you are expecting a spicy and robust flavor, the jjamppong may taste mild to you. Visitors who have recently come from Korea might notice a noticeable difference compared to Korean-style Chinese cuisine. The noodles, in particular, tend to break easily and may feel less chewy than expected. That said, the staff are very kind and attentive, and they are happy to provide a Korean menu upon request.

On the outside it doesn’t look like much. But once inside you are transported to a different place. Murals of the great wall, scenery of chinese myth and legend from the ceiling and the smells of great Chinese food. My wife is Korean and she loves that they cook foods that also cater to their tastes.
I have tried many many dishes here and I will say i have never been disappointed. Go get some delicious food. You’ll be happy!
I forgot to mention that I was buying takeout for 3 persons. The owners are very generous with the portions and are friends of the community of Marina.

Ordered Sweet & Sour pork, Mongolian Beef and Fried Rice. It al tasted bland. Beef didn’t tate marinated. Just like beef. Sweet and Sour had no sweet or sour taste. The. Rice tasted burnt to me. Like it was cooked with barely any oil. Everything else was great. Just not the food. Won’t be going back there.

Take out on a Friday night. First time here. Our normal order at all places are tomato beef chow mein, cashew chicken, salt and pepper tofu. All were decent. And would order again. Salt and pepper tofu had some that were seasoned and some that didn’t have much taste. Tried a new dish -mandarin chicken. It came with a container of slightly spicy sauce. All the flavor is in the sauce.

Lee’s Garden has been in Marina ever since I was a kid! I hadn’t been there in over 20 years but so glad we stopped to eat since I forgot Daddy’s was closed on Monday and Tuesdays. They updated their look and you know a Chinese restaurant is good when there’s a lot of Chinese patrons eating there!
They serve Dim Sum every day. We ordered from their lunch menu. Portions were very nice and egg drop soup was really good. YOU GOTTA TRY THE CHIVE DUMPLINGS!!! That was sooooooo yummy. Service was fast and they were patient with us since we hadn’t been there for such a long time.
Food was very tasty and not full of salt!
Dim Sum dumplings were so tasty I forgot to take full pics of them…sorry! Prices were very reasonable and they put your leftovers away for you so you don’t have to worry about making a mess!

Sweet and sour beef(Korean style) and Jjampong in the Monterey area. Very crispy fried beef and the sweet and sour taste was great! I would totally go back for those.

Never never never judge a book by its cover. Lee’s Garden Restaurant is the epitome of this coveted advice. On the outside a somewhat run down building that needs a bit of love. On the inside they provide hands down one of the best (American) Chinese meal in the country. I travel the world and I’ve eaten at some of the most renowned restaurants on the face of earth. And nowhere have I had a meal that surprised me the way Lee’s did. It’s simple fare and although my pallet may be different and probably simpler than most, I truly loved the sesame chicken and fried rice I had at Lee’s. Crunchy breading pure white meat(not false claims) actual white meat!!! And perfectly cooked rice. Do yourself a favor and make sure to visit Lee’s. I know I will again.

They have the kid working the cashier. Told me no lunch special during lunch hours because it’s a holiday. Basically tell me I had to order full entrees when I only wanted to order what I saw available on their food ordering site online. I prefer ethical businesses

Food was okay, a little pricey for the portions you get in my opinion. They do seem to have a small stuff so service is a little slow. Overall okay experience.
