Reviews
Jumbo’s checked every box. It was close to the highway, soon as I walked in I felt welcome and the staff was extraordinarily friendly, the cheeseburger was perfectly cocked and excellent (juicy, a little messy, full of flavor, fresh ingredients), and the onion rings were amazing.
This place, and many like it, are sooo much better than the chain restaurants we settle for. Do yourself a favor and get off the interstates a couple miles and get some of Jumbo’s great food.
I went there today at 12:00 hoping they would be able to cater a party I had for 20 people, without hesitation she had everything prepared for me by 4:00 p.m..
Two meats, three sides, desserts and tea.
Jumbo’s is my first choice. I highly recommend them.
Meat is super tender, juicy, and has great flavor along with oversized buns toasted on the grill. The hand battered onion rings and fried green tomatoes are fantastic Slow down, or you’ll pass this hidden gem.
This place is tucked away and has a nice atmosphere. It’s homie and comfortable with a sports vibe. Several televisions mounted on the walls to watch the games. There is both inside and outside seating.
The menu had a great selection, especially if you’re in the mood for a great burger. The Swiss and mushroom burger was beyond delicious, and the basket of seasoned fries hit the spot.
I asked Brie on the history of the business, and her eyes lit up, and a big smile appeared as she told us about how they actually started the buisness during Covid. It was such a big hit that they outgrew their first place and, as happenstance, would have it the building they’re currently in opened up. They were able to accommodate their patrons with more parking and a larger area. Any business that can thrive during Covid deserves an award!
We left with full bellies and empty plates. We will definitely be back when we pass through these parts again and highly recommend others to check this place out! Thank you to Brie for the great service and for taking the time to talk with us!
It’s
We ate a late lunch there today. It was not too crowded and we got a table right away. They are now at the new location. The place is nice, not fancy but very pleasant. The table we had could have used a good scrubbing. It seemed clean but felt sticky. That may be a result of the cleaner they use. Some disinfectants do make surfaces sticky. The food was good, not great, but we cleaned our plates so definitely good. They do have a very good variety of menu items to choose from. I personally don’t like peelings in my potatoes at all. Next time I will ask for the potato whole and then remove the peeling before mashing. The cole slaw was good and I am picky about that. My husband’s Meat salad was good but he prefers his lettuce cut up in very small pieces. I do think that is not a common practice though. Our waitress was neat, pleasant and attentive. Overall, a good experience. We will go back again.
