With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Love pumpkin spice season!
I get the blended snowy pumpkin, which is white mocha with pumpkin flavoring…you can get it with whip, but I don’t. You can also ask for cinnamon on top which makes it just a little bit better! Right now they have the 20th give-a-versary for Breast Cancer Awareness! Really cute cups!!

We went there early yesterday morning. Ellie took great care of US. Sorry my friend was so grumpy. But u were still very kind to US. The coffee was great. An Excellent Americano.

Go here almost every weekday morning. There’s a new worker here who tried to sell me a large coffee I paid for in a medium cup I immediately called him out on it and he had to check my cup next to a large size cup to confirm this then poured the medium cup into the large one and filled it with something quickly. When I got my coffee he said he put the correct amount of shots in my cup and obviously didn’t as my coffee tasted like sugar water and was a waste of 6 dollars. Not a good experience left me pretty frustrated afterwards, also don’t know how else to complain here besides doing this.

Their espresso needs work, our lattes were like reg coffees with lots of milk. But the service was friendly and we got a coated coffee bean as a little treat!

The coffee kicks butter! My husband’s iced Vanilla latte was divine!! She NAILED my Matcha smoothie which was very rare. Loved it. The gal was soooo nice and even offered to remake our drinks if they weren’t to satisfaction. That was amazing. Bravo!!!

I think my favorite part of human bean really is the green tea smoothies. They’ve always appealed to me for some reason. I am so glad they finally have them back as they haven’t had them for almost a year. The entire building was completely clean and the girl that made the smoothie for us was very sweet and quick. This is a coffee place I’d recommend going to.

Very nice staff, the maple scone was excellent but the latte tasteless. Very unhappy with my 16oz latte, with 2 extra shots. Very weak. I took the top off and zero foam. Looked like warm milk, beige colored. I had specified I needed a strong latte that morning. Asked if 2 extra shots would do the job. Was told yes. Well it didn’t. Went home and made myself a strong one. Not the first for a weak latte.
