I do think you need to pay more attention to what’s happening, and happening consistently at breakfast. Your morning cook has no clue how to cook eggs, and I have offered numerous times to teach her how to use egg pans. No takers. The pictures show the kind of product you’re putting out.
I ask for ‘over easy.’ (Yolks should be runny and whites should be lightly set) The eggs on the white plate were what I got the other day and sent back. The pictures on the red plate show the ones that they brought to replace the originals. Seriously?? At that point I gave up and shut up.
I’ve run a restaurant that cooked 180 dozen eggs on day shift alone – all in egg pans, so I know what I’m talking about. Having been in several times for dinner, I’m positive this is not the sort of product you want to consistently bear your name.
And then To Dinner. A warm and friendly welcome, sharing info about the area, folks at the restaurant were accommodating. It was just a delightful small town experience. Oh yeah! And the steaks were great!
Great service!
Love that they have lots of options and prices are good too!
The smell of the food cooking was phenomenal. The porkchops were unbelievably tender, with no need for any additional seasoning, they were scrumptious. Eggs were cooked perfectly sunnyside up. We could eat this every day and it would never get old. If you’re hungry, come in early and enjoy— remind yourself 2pm is closing time, unless you come Friday and Saturday and its 8pm. Big Horns will leave your tummy satisfied, but it’s also just a really comfortable spot to take a break and slow down in this small town called Elgin, Oregon. I got married in January, and Big Horns was the place my husband and I chose for our first married meal together. The people here just make you feel like family ❤️
All staff were very friendly. Ellie was our server and she has a personality and heart of an angel. Breakfast was great and they have several huckleberry specials….my favorite season of the year Bighorn is one of our favorite places to eat.
