Super unique roadside bar that was clean, welcoming, had cold beer and a unique take on the moscow mule. Food is not available from this business but during the summer months there is a pizza pod 50′ away which smelled amazing (you can order your pizza and bring it inside Ben’s Place Bar). Because of the metal silo design of this building it can be a tad hot in the heat of the day even with its 2 air conditioners running but who cares, you are in Spray OR and if you are like us, you have been on the road for several hours and simply need a respite from the road. There is outdoor seating overlooking the river which would be great in the evening and we were told they do live music on certain nights (didn’t catch which). We will definitely return.

Cool rustic place out in the middle of nowhere. It would be nice if they had a smaller pizza choice. I forgot the name of the pizza i ordered, but it had way too much cheese on it and was so greasy it made the pizza soggy. The crust had good flavor, next time I’ll try a different pizza. The bar service was awesome and a good choice of things to drink. I’ll be back.

What a great little bar in one of our favorite small towns! The service was beyond amazing, the views and atmosphere are breathtaking. If you want a fun relaxing stop along the John Day River, this is it. Thank you Grace for the wonderful visit, laughs and cold drinks. We will be back.

Order your delicious pizza or calzone up top, and walk down to Ben’s bar, a cleverly converted grain storage bin. Enjoy an adult beverage while looking out over the John Day river.

We stopped here on a whim after driving past this spectacle (a bar in a silo along the John Day). Not a single regret. Ben (the owner) has put so much love into this spot and it’s obvious. Drinks and service were great, as was the pizza from the cart. Though, you can’t beat the views and atmosphere of this place. Insanely unique and something we’d drive a long way out of the way for to experience again.

Great place to grab a cold drink on a hot day and watching the sun set over the river here is a treat. We felt like old friends walking in the place, bar owner treats you like family and the awesome girls at the pizza cart are so nice and make a great pie!

Great little bar! My Girlfriend and I stopped here while riding through on our motorcycles. Keith told us the story behind the bar and we each enjoyed a coors light with a great view! Make sure you stop on your next ride through!

We came twice during the week of rodeo, which is likely their busiest week of the year. It is such a unique experience! Being on the river is a plus. It’s cooler and a beautiful view! Don’t forget to order a pizza from up too too!
