This place really surprised us. We have a boat in a marina on Muskegon Lake. On our way home, after a day of boating. We were hungry and needed to stop for food. This place really grabbed our hearts. Super clean in the inside. The outside deck is a ton of fun and very relaxing in the summer when they are not busy. The food is easy going, comfort food. Not off wall, chef inspired food that makes you wonder what you are ordering. What you read on the menu is exactly what you get to your plate. Locally owned, ive heard from many people that the owner is amazing. Which doesn’t surprise me because the establishment speaks volume for being a little bar. I highly recommend this place if you are on the lakeshore. We loved it!

Sandbar is by far one of favorite dive bars in Muskegon! Service is amazing, food is always hot, beer is ice cold, and prices are great. A casual place to meet and catch up during winter months or after fun in the sun.

The waitress was super nice, if it was not for her great attitude I would have refused to pay. The Philly was tasteless, I could not finish it. It was like eating cardboard. The jalapeño popper was disgusting, it was served cold with NO bacon or seasoning. I spit it back out, it tasted like wax. I could make a better one over a camp fire. The famous wings were ok, but they were way to over seasoned. I wish I went somewhere else. 🙁

I gave it a 5 star even though we waited a while for everything. The waitress was by herself, and she was running the bar. She was so friendly and apologized for the delays.. The atmosphere is great. The music was a great mix of genres, and the food was excellent. I definitely recommend the burritos. It was our first time going there, and I know we will definitely be back. I recommend going a little earlier to find parking . It is definitely a popular spot..
