Would give zero stars if I could. Made an online order for little after noon on a Friday. This place isnt even open. But they did charge me $80 for my work lunch order. Thats a fraudulent charge that i will pursuewith my bank. What a joke of a restaurant why would you come here. Noon on a Friday and not open, what a way to run a business

We saw this place on our way to an event and decided to give it a try. It was empty when we entered. We glanced at the menu and ordered two whole jibaritos. The food we really wanted was not available as we were told their main cook was not around. We were told that they were doing “to go” orders only. We grabbed drinks and sat at a table outside to wait. We paid and tipped at the time we ordered. ($40 total plus $8 tip)
We waited almost 40 minutes before i decided to go inside and ask about our food (I know it was that long because I had text my cousin when we got there and ordered). The cook said he was just coming out to say our food was almost ready. Fast forward another 15 minutes and they finally came out with our food. So we waited 55 minutes in total. They apologized for the long wait and said they had gotten a ton of orders and a large order from door dash had canceled on them. They said they gave us extra food and we could grab another drink since we waited so long. I was hangry at that point and politely declined the additional beverage. Had we not paid and tipped up front we probably would have canceled our food order as well.
When we finally sat down to eat, we discovered that we got one whole jibarito and one half jibarito and what seemed to be a 2 inch canoa with the half jibarito. We had ordered two whole jibaritos. The extra food we were given was the rice. The rice is the only reason we gave one star. It was decent but nothing to write home about.
Now to the jibarito. The pernil (pork) had no flavor. Absolutely none. The plantanos (plantain) was not cooked all the way through. The two inch plantain canoa (the “extra” we didn’t order) was not cooked through either.
All in all, a very long wait for food that should not have taken that long to prepare and food that we didn’t like.
I wanted to like this place seeing as it’s a puerto rican spot in Lockport but I was very disappointed.

I had ordered online got the catfish dinner and two salad with a small side of mashed potatoes. The catfish was very seasoned mashed potatoes were nice and chunky. The tuna salad was very well seasoned. I did not get a lemon with my fish fry though I’m not too familiar with pricing of food, I thought it was a little expensive, but The food was juicy. The cornbread was fluffy sticky and tasty and I thought the food was very delicious.

I tried to like this place after last August I spent 90$+ on food and the place was closed & I never got my money back. I ordered last night – oxtails , beef stew, Mac & cheese, collard greens. The beef stew was so thick and chunky. The greens had no flavor. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade and it had a piece of mold in it. She gave me a card towards a free meal because I ordered my food at 3 something and I wasn’t getting it till after 5 because the oven never got turned on for the Mac. Very dissatisfied, I wouldn’t recommend

If you are ever in Lockport try La Vista Soul. This restaurant has the best soul food I’ve ever tasted!! Very small cute and authentic take out place and has a few tables too! The cook was amazing and we all enjoyed ! My son devoured their Mac and cheese !!! Please TRY

This had to be the worse food I ever had. First of all I spent roughly $100 on food. All of the fried items were burnt and flavorless. I wanted for about an hour for just 2 dinners one salad. I was told originally about 30-40 minutes I understood because it was Friday. I left came back in 45mins to be told basically that DOOR DASH orders were more important. Well she attempted to say they came in before my order which wasn’t true.
As I’m waiting for my food someone from door dash picked up an order and another was waiting. The employee keep coming to front telling me my food was in the way.
They either had old grease or over cooked my chicken because they actually didn’t start my order until I came back. The food was disgusting the only thing that actually had taste and flavor was the Mac and cheese. I would Never ever ever eat here again. My salad was vegetarian with buffalo chicken the lettuce was OLD. My daughters empanada was so brunt we just threw it in trash.

Food was bland and unseasoned. Pulled pork was so dry. Pastelitos were also unseasoned. Disgrace to call it Spanish food.

We ordered takeout through DoorDash and although the food took some time, it was worth the wait! Got the BBQ chicken dinner with mac and cheese and candied yams. The chicken and yams were incredible! Can’t wait to try more of what they have to offer.

Quaint place with delicious food. Tried the fried chicken dinner with mac & cheese and collard greens. I thought it was very delicious. I liked how the greens had a bit of spice to them. I got my boyfriend the Cubano Sandwich and it was HEFTY (and delicious)

Went here to check it out. I only gave 1 star because I felt bad for the new employee that was running around by herself. The food we wanted was not available. So we decided to do the “buffet” as I was on my work lunch. The chicken was dry, collards were ok, mac and cheese was dry and there were barely and sweet potatoes. She had to scrape the container to get some out but still charged me full price. I can go on and on but in a nutshell..don’t waste your money or time, they suck.
