While passing through town, I had a chance to visit the Wine Destination, where I was made to feel very welcome by one of the owners (Sarah, pictured with me below) who, with her husband Keith, have created a lovely place to shop for wine, or to simply sit down (as I did) and have a glass. Everything is clean, spacious, and nicely arranged, complete with a back room that is very nicely arranged for private meetings. Though a stranger to the area, I quickly found myself engaged in delightful conversations with other customers despite having just met them. and this was quite enjoyable! Bottom line, I look forward to returning in the future. Thanks Sarah & Kevin for setting up such a gem 🙂

If you haven’t yet, you need to stop into The Wine Destination! Sarah and Keith are warm, welcoming and have an impressive collection and knowledge of wines. We tried their wine of the week, some specialty olives and cheese. They even had some beer options for the hubby! We loved the art, custom furniture and beautiful venue. Sarah’s knowledge and wide variety of wine is outstanding! I love her enthusiasm and excitement around supporting local and international wineries. The Wine Destination is a wonderful stop to make when visiting downtown. I also love that they have a variety of cheeses that are from all over the world and not available to purchase anywhere in Roseburg. Hooray for wine and cheese!!!!

I’ve enjoyed this downtown hot spot several times. It’s unlike most wineries in that they have a huge inventory and have done all the homework. Sarah’s passion for rare and popular cheeses worldwide is another factor that set them apart as a destination experience for locals and visitors. Located less than a mile off the I5 freeway in Roseburg it’s continently placed in the center of other family friendly small businesses.

TWD is an enjoyable shop with a very good selection of wines from around the world, at a reasonable price. The owners, Sarah and Keith are welcoming and quite knowledgeable amount all varieties of wine. The location is in the historic downtown of Roseburg, right on Jackson St. The Wine Tasting events are the 3rd Friday, each month 4-7pm. I have enjoyed their wines and discussions.
