I’ve been coming to Rocky Point Pizza for years now, and it’s always been one of my favorite spots in town. The staff makes you feel like family every time you walk in, which is rare to find these days. The food is always authentic and delicious so it’s easy to see why this place has been a staple in Rocky Point for so long. Their Brooklyn-style slice is hands down my favorite slice anywhere, and I can never find one quite like it anywhere else.

Yesterday I stopped into Rocky Point Pizza around 1 PM to purchase two balls of pizza dough, something I’ve bought from them many times before without issue. I was the only customer in the shop.
When I approached the counter and asked to buy the dough, the man working very rudely said, “No, we’re not selling those today.” I was surprised but not upset and simply put my wallet back into my purse to leave.
At that point, an older gentleman behind the counter told him, “No, it’s okay, give her what she wants.” The original employee then snapped back, “No! We’re not selling them,” while glaring at me.
The entire interaction was extremely uncomfortable. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a pizzeria. His behavior was bizarre and aggressive, as if I were asking for something inappropriate rather than pizza dough.
I left and went across the street to Pompei Pizza, where I was greeted warmly and was able to purchase two balls of dough at a cheaper price than Rocky Point Pizza normally charges.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to Rocky Point Pizza.

in for a quick cheese slice. It was just ok. My grandson had a pepperoni slice and said pepperoni was tasteless.
The man behind the counter was very nice. Took care of us quickly and was very friendly wishing us a happy holiday

Staff was so friendly and accommodating, food came out quickly and was superb. It can be hard to find solid pizza east of the Nassau County/Suffolk Border but this place delivered.

Best pizza in town hands down. Anything from pizza, pastas, and even burgers. Gotta try the alla Vodka. Pizza or pasta can’t find it anywhere else this good. Atmosphere is also very welcoming.

Good food. Pizza has perfectly crispy crust. Tho some of the staff could use some lessons in general etiquette. The bathroom is less the desirable. I was surprised that after 15$ on 3 slices and knots they still charge $1 for a small side of sauce which was a mediocre purée. The many nail technicians from next door lounging on their out door eating area doesn’t enhance the LI strip mall esthetic. In spite of all that, when we are here we will return for their food.

I will make it a point of never going there again because they don’t know how to take care of their Loyal miller place neighborhood customers. They charged me $2.50 for a 1 1/2 oz side of sauce and $1.50 for 3 paper plates. A Sicilian pie went fro
$22 to $30 because they are greedy and money hungry. Meanwhile you could have offered the package that at least came with side of sauce for same up charge. Unfortunately I didn’t even realize why the $7 up charge until I got home. $4 extra for 3 flimsy white paper plates and a small side of sauce that could literally cost them .03cents. No wonder their pies are always dry since they are stingy with sauce. Wow!! What a shame to take advantage of local customers. Thank his I didn’t ask for napkins. I will stick with branchanellies instead. At least they are upfront with charges. They don’t do discounts, not cheap, but good and transparent and they don’t expect you to eat off your hands. Rocky point pizza, you will loose a lot more business over 3 cheap paper plates and your cheap sauce. Shame on you!!
