If you’re looking for a place that serves food that feels like a warm hug, look no further! We started with their tomato soup, and it was a masterpiece – velvety, tangy, and bursting with fresh flavor. Then came the soya chaap, which was grilled to absolute perfection – smoky, juicy, and seasoned with such care. It’s easily the best in town.
Beyond the amazing food, the service was exceptional. The team here has a genuine warmth that makes you feel so welcome. They were attentive, had lovely smiles, and their hospitality truly added to the wonderful ambiance. A fantastic restaurant with a big heart!

Great food and amazing, attentive service! We especially liked the chana masala, veggie pakora, and palak paneer. We were given a complimentary dessert too; I’d never had Gajar Ka Halwa before but it was yummy and not too sweet! Our server was quick and very friendly.

Ordered some butter naan today, got it dry, and was treated really rude. Was not even apologized once and was told i am lying about it and they put it on. I just ask to take care of these things next time, i did not ask refund or replacements as i did not had time to go back. Instead of listening, she said now butter cannot fly to you, if you cannot come back. I was very polite but was told that if you want to do bitching about food, you can, the cashier said she does not care. I explained once again that look i am not bitching about food, i am a regular customer and I was told, if you are frustrated, go to police and get our restaurant shut down. I have never seen somebody in customer service telling you to go to police and I am not exaggerating here. This experience was pathetic.

We shared the Saffron tandoori platter and while tasty thought it was a bit expensive ($26) for the size. The garlic naan was a perfect complement. The restaurant is unassuming and our waitress was attentive. No draft beer and I thought it odd there were local (BC) beers but no Indian offerings.

My first time eating here today and was a wonderful experience at Saffron Touch! As a Vernon local, I’ve tried numerous Indian restaurants, but this gem Saffron Touch stands out. The garlic naan, butter chicken, and mango lassi were incredibly delicious and fresh, the best in town! The service was excellent, the food is a generous portion size at an affordable price. The warm and welcoming staff and atmosphere and beautiful artwork made it a wonderful dining experience for my 1-year-old daughter and me. We’ll definitely be back for authentic Indian cuisine! ❤️ 5/5 stars

I’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times now and I have an amazing experience every time! The people there are so kind and invested in your experience. They always go above and beyond. And this is HANDS DOWN the best Indian food I have ever had. The butter chicken is perfect, and the dal is so flavourful. Please don’t miss out on this incredible restaurant. I am not one to leave reviews but I would be devastated not to have this place be here for years to come so I need to tell everyone to eat here any chance you get!

I had an exceptional dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a night out with family or friends. But what truly made our evening special was the outstanding service – attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff ensured our every need was met.

This was the 89th eatery I visited in Vernon.
This was my first time dining in at Saffron Touch.
Along with Curry Pot, Saffron Touch is one of the original East Indian restaurants here in town.
Saffron Touch has done a better job of adapting to the surrounding environment.
I previously ordered delivery a few years ago. While the staff was super helpful and friendly, and even went above and beyond by delivering it to me 30 minutes after closure because Doordash made a huge error, I was disappointed with spending 40 bucks on a tiny portion.
Because of the tiny portions and having the largest price tag in town, I hadn’t eaten from there since that day.
Thankfully I gave them another chance and dined in yesterday.
I ordered a mushroom masala and garlic naan which came to $22.41 after tax and an 18 percent tip. It included free rice with the meal.
I know myself and others pointed out Saffron Touch didn’t include free rice or naan like Haveli, Shahi Pakwan, and Namaste do. I am happy to find out they’ve joined the rest.
Curry Pot are the only holdouts in town.
The mushroom masala tasted really good. It isn’t the biggest portion size like you’d find at Haveli, but I never felt like I was short changed.
There was also a free dessert too! Seeds mixed with tiny jelly beans which freshens your breath. No other place in Vernon gives this out at the end of the meal.
The server was very friendly. We chatted a lot as it wasn’t super busy. He also repeatedly came by to fill my water.
Overall, I highly recommend this spot.
There are so many excellent East Indian restaurants you need to try. Vernon has come a long way.
Current Vernon East Indian Restaurant Rankings:
1) Haveli (I love the big venue. Most affordable lunch menu set. Biggest portions. Favourite menu options.)
2) Namaste (Indochinese dishes are awesome. Great pakora. Garlic naan included. I love the deep fried cauliflower dish.)
3) Shahi Pakwan (Best naan bread. Mushroom Do Piaza is great.)
4) Saffron Touch (Best customer service. Reliable. Consistent. Best free dessert dish.)
5) Curry Pot (The only one I don’t recommend overall. However, my food tasted great.)
