I was out in West Marin looking for things best forgotten, and thanking the powers above that I didn’t find them, and then found myself back on Ignacio Blvd heading straight to Boca Pizzeria!
What luck I thought, or was it devine intervention that once again brought this wayward soul to Boca Pizzeria!
The last time I was here I had an amazing pizza but today it’s going to be pasta, and not just any pasta…Fettuccine Bolognese piled high with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano and a little sprinkle of garden fresh parsley. All I can say to describe my meal is WOW…It was Amazing!

There doesn’t seem to be many options within a 15 min drive of this spot, but fortunately this is a great option.

Meatball pizza was awesome, the sauce was so fresh and snapped with every bite a fresh tomato flavor, meatballs moist and full of many different spices. Uneven service, my wife is vegan and we were told by the host that she could bring her own entree and after getting our service started the staff then informs us that they just CAN NOT let her bring her own food. Visited with a group of 5 (including a toddler) and was very disappointed. A 20% gratuity was added to our bill even though we did not meet their stated ‘6 or more’ requirement, and this was not clearly disclosed in advance. The server also repeatedly pushed us to order more food and beer, which made the whole meal feel uncomfortable and salesy rather than welcoming. When we asked about the charge at the front, the explanation didn’t match what we were told about their policy. Overall the vibe was rude and unaccommodating, and we left feeling taken advantage of. I won’t be returning and would recommend checking your bill carefully if you decide to go.

A few weeks ago had a disappointing experience at Boca Pizzeria on a Wednesday afternoon with my family. Upon arrival at approximately 4:30 PM, we were assisted by a bartender who struggled with English and had rude communication. Ordinarily, our lunchtime visits are enjoyable; however, on this occasion, we had a few issues, i requested the Fettuccini Pescatore with white sauce, which was denied by the bartender citing managerial instructions. When I asked to speak with the chef, the bartender appeared reluctant and conveyed the request to the manager. The manager also declined the request making a weird face like she did not want us there.
The bartender seemed frustrated and was curt in his interactions. I suggested an alternative solution, offering to order Fettuccini Alfredo and add the Pescatore ingredients with an additional charge; however, the bartender insisted that substitutions were not permitted.
The service was also super bad, as we did not have a dedicated server. Instead, the busser cleared our plates, and we ultimately had to approach the counter to pay. Overall, our experience was bad by poor communication, inflexibility, and inadequate service.”
We will keep coming for lunch but not for dinner.

Had a bad experience during a recent celebratory occasion visit. Sent an email about it to the general email address; got no response. Sent a personalized email to the night manager, got no response. Produced, printed and hand delivered to the restaurant a letter addressed to the owner; got no response. Produced, printed, and hand delivered all these notes with receipt and presented to Jorge, the day manager, who told me he would follow up; no response. They just don’t care about the customers, even someone like me who had been a return customer. Will never go back.
