-First, be forewarned that if you order the artichokes, this is the dish you will receive.
– Second, Do not expect any refills on your drink because everything is out of a can.
– third, do NOT, under any circumstances expect quality service or food from this establishment.

My husband and I walked in at approximately 8:20 on a Friday night to a sign that said to please wait to be seated. There was no hostess, no server, no manager, just an empty foyer.
After flagging down what we thought was a hostess (she wasn’t, she was the manager) and being seated in a nearly empty restaurant, we were effectively ignored by our waitress, except for directly taking our order and answering one question about a salad dressing for the next 30 minutes, and then charged $33 by the manager because we were unhappy and wanted to leave.
We did not eat our salad, our appetizer came out out of order (we never touched it , but were forced to pay for it), and our full appetizer and most of our salad were still sitting on the table when our pizza came.
**NO ONE CHECKED ON US**

However, we were charged for everything but the salad.
After a confrontation with the manager and our waitress twice, we finally earned the right to leave after giving them our credit card and having two cardboard boxes shoved into our faces, containing the pizzas that seem to be made of the same material as the box. Just in case you would like to know, this is what $8 worth of a slice of pizza at Pitch looks like.

If you value service, food quality, ambiance, atmosphere, personality or agreeability, your money is best spent elsewhere.

***I’d like to note that we’re actually local residents, not tourists, though our accents say otherwise, which makes the manager’s choice to force payment for untouched food even more disappointing. Scottsdale businesses should value integrity — not prey on assumptions about visitors.
Before Pitch responds to my review personally, as they have everyone else, I’d like to say that there is absolutely no way to enjoy their mountain view in the dark, So no, there was nothing at all to enjoy.

The Pitch, nestled inside the Hilton, is a fantastic social spot that buzzes with energy and charm. Likely drawing a corporate crowd due to its proximity to nearby offices, this lively venue is perfect for after-work gatherings or special events. I attended our annual Capgemini meet-up here, and it was a memorable experience.

The spacious layout and the ambiance makes it ideal for corporate events, with plenty of room to mingle and network.

The Pitch boasts an impressive variety of eating and drinking options, catering to diverse tastes. The expansive bar area is a standout, complemented by stylish interiors that create an inviting atmosphere. Sports fans will appreciate the screens broadcasting games, adding to the vibrant vibe.

Hospitality is top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring a warm welcome. The restrooms are spotlessly clean, and the convenience of free parking—either out front or in the Hilton’s parking structure—seals the deal. For a lively, well-appointed venue with great service, The Pitch earns high marks!

The Pitch is undeniably beautiful, with an ambience that’s warm, inviting, and perfect for a night out. The service is equally impressive, our server was attentive and quick to address any concerns.

The mozzarella sticks were definitely unique, oversized with an enormous amount of cheese. While some cheese lovers may appreciate that, it was a bit too much for our taste (and I never thought I’d say “too much cheese” in my life).

The crab sandwich was generously portioned, but unfortunately, it had an unmistakable soapy taste, which my husband also noticed. We let our server know, and she promptly informed the kitchen.

The salmon with Brussels sprouts was just okay, but the heavy salt throughout the plate made it nearly inedible. The kids’ chicken strips and fries were a large portion, but even they could have benefited from a touch of seasoning.

This was actually our third visit to The Pitch. As much as we love the beautiful setting and stellar service, the consistently below-average food, especially at higher price points, makes it hard to justify coming back.

Great drinks and appetizers were good. The Pitch Old Fashioned was better than most. Ceaser salad was so so this time. Had one at the Thomas Pitch location that was really good. Great location to stop in for drinks and apps, and then grab a store pick bottle of bourbon.

This was our second time to Pitch and we will absolutely come back again. We had the pizza of the week which was buffalo chicken. The flavor was great and the crust was thin. The drinks flavor and the staff was prompt in taking orders and getting our items to us. The owner, Dean, is active in checking in on guests and making sure everyone is having a good experience. Would strongly recommend Pitch!

This is a really great place to go. Beautiful view of the McDowell Mountains from inside or on the patio. Really great selection of Bourbons Tequilas anything that you might want. The food was really excellent the pizza I got was just packed with toppings and delicious. One of the other people I was with got a crab burger that was out of this world she just loved that. The desserts were all top shelf.. flourless chocolate cake was just wonderful as was the gelato

Didn’t know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed our lunch/brunch at Pitch. This is a pretty new place on Hayden, north of 101 in Phoenix. I tried their biscuits & gravy and it was excellent. I still think that Daily Dose has the best biscuits and gravy in town, but this is close really close and that’s a huge praise. Given their prices, I think this place is a great value. Give it a try.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch together on Sunday, at Pitch at Cavasson. The restaurant was clean, it had a cool, industrial-chic vibe, with concrete floors and exposed ductwork. We were particularly impressed with the large bar, situated in front of garage door style windows that overlook a large patio and offer nice views of the McDowell Mountains. This setup will be perfect in the winter, providing the views don’t get blocked by any developments across the road. As for the food, my husband’s burger was ok, but my chicken protein bowl was so good that I actually had the leftovers for breakfast the next morning. It was a craveable dish, and I’ll definitely order it again. My husband had an old fashioned, which smelled delicious, and he said was good, and we shared an order of Thai chicken wings, which were also good. We couldn’t understand why there were not more people there as the experience and food were both good – excellent. Maybe it’s a hidden gem? Anyway, we will definitely be back.

The mushroom pizza was fabulous. Service by M, an engaging, funny, intelligent and attractive staff member, was a significant bonus. She is genuine.
