Poppy’s Ice cream is the best in the area!! The atmosphere is family friendly and clean! The cones and sundaes are reasonably priced! We had a great experience and will make this a regular stop! Happy Summer Everyone!

From the moment we walked up to the window, I knew this place was going to be great. The atmosphere was fun and inviting, with friendly staff who genuinely seem to love what they do.
You can tell they use high-quality ingredients for the soft serve and the hard ice cream options are endless. I had a sundae with the works and it was everything I was looking for. With the huge portions and unbeatable prices poppy’s doesn’t miss.
I’ll definitely be back—this might be my new favorite ice cream spot!

Poppy’s Ice Cream is a good place to go and get a cone. Their prices are reasonable and portion sizes well worth it. The variety of flavors is extensive, and changes. When,we were there, the special flavors were cake batter and red velvet soft serve. In the same place there is a pizza shop and pet salon. So stop in, get the dog groomed have dinner and desert without having to leave.

This is a nice little place to stop for a frozen treat. The flavor selections are very large and diverse, and there are even options for those who cannot consume dairy. The ice cream I’ve gotten here has been delicious every time. The prices I would just rate as okay in conjunction with the portions. I noticed that the consistency struggles here depending on who is working at the time you go there. Employees are friendly and helpful. An nice location for wonderful soft-served (and other) ice cream.
EDIT: knocked off a star. Last time I went there they didn’t even properly apply a discount to the total….

Cool outdoor place to go for ice cream but it is just Perry’s ice cream. Not big portion sizes and prices are expensive. If you get 2 small/medium ice creams it’ll already be over $10. They also have food too. Says they close at 9 yet when we got there at 8:15 they were already turning their lights off. Still a decent spot to stop if you’re in the mood for ice cream

Loved the banana bread stacker sundae. Only complaint is there is no place to sit that isn’t in the direct sun. We got there around 6pm…and the sun was at an angle where even if you sat under the Pavillion, it was so hot, direct sun

Good local favorite. Traditional flavor burst, slushie, and hard ice creams. Soft serve, dole vegan flavors and waffle cones! Goes above with ice cream sundaes, ice cream nachos, and an assortment of flavors. Picnic tables, gazebo and peaceful setting for a night of family memories, first dates or “me” time. Don’t forget the shakes! My girl group and I love to sit and catch up, watch the sunset. Or watch the firemen across the street if that’s your speed! Conveniently located in rotterdam (or south schenectady which is new to me). There’s pizza next door, great one stop shop for parties. The staff is friendly and welcoming, they know what’s good and in season. Dog friendly patio for those of us who love to dog watch or the dog parents who want a night out on the town. A well known establishment for us locals and inviting to those who are not. Poppys is here to stay! Thank you to everyone who has a hand in this late evening crowd favorite. Anything with peanut butter is my all time favorite. They have a peanut butter smores hard ice cream that is my go to but I try to sample a little bit of everything. Blueberry cheesecake *chefs kiss* YES.

Love frozen custard ❤️ and nowhere else local to get it. Not the nicest atmosphere and nowhere inside to sit but has large covered space with picnic tables and a portapotty. Lots of flavors and dips and mixins!
