We had an amazing experience at Aji Izakaya. We started with the oolong black tea, which was high quality and absolutely hit the spot on a cold night. We also ordered the sizzling bulgolgi kimchi, which came with a small house salad. Our server mentioned they make their own dressing, and you could tell—perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious.
The sizzling bulgolgi kimchi itself was beautifully plated and had an exquisite balance of flavors that made it truly divine. We also tried the Aji fried rice (without shrimp due to an allergy), and it was another standout dish. Perfectly seasoned, plated with care, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients—you can tell they take real pride in everything they serve.
On top of the excellent food, the staff were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. We will definitely be returning!

It was my first time here. Ive been craving sushi and was home for lunch. I decided to check it out after it was suggested and pretty close. Aji izakawa did not disappoint. I love the decor. The environment was quiet and the service was great. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. We ordered some lunch specials. We ordered the sashimi combo, sushi platter, a aji pork bun, and some delicious ice tea. We were also served some egg rolls and gyoza . Everything was great. So are so many things I want to try from their menu so im definitely going back. I can’t wait to try the ramen!

I got the Houston Roll and Chicken Skewer Ramen- spicy miso with egg noodles & both were amazing! The roll is flavorful but not overwhelming and it has a perfect crunch omg

We’ve come here for lunch before, but dinner was next-level. The place has a great casual, relaxed vibe, and the staff accommodated our party of three even though there were only two seats—huge plus for great service. The sashimi deluxe (chef’s choice), Shaggy Dog sushi, and sake were all super fresh and totally worth the price. Chef Gervin was excellent and very friendly, and our waiter was attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend!
