Bland food with terrible service.
We had eaten at another local restaurant the night before and had great southern hospitality style service, so we expected more of the same from the same town. We ordered my wife and daughter chicken and cheese quesadillas. My wife specifically asked if it was just chicken and cheese inside and the server said yes. I had said just chicken and cheese. When the food comes out, it was full of onions and peppers. We said sorry, but they can’t eat this (onions and my wife induce a gag reflex). The server’s response was to essentially blames us saying that everyone knows the chicken here is shredded with vegetables… my response was simply “we are from Tennessee”.
Mistakes happen and I wouldn’t have thought much of it if she had said, oh yeah, you said just chicken and cheese and she asked if there was anything else in it, but to try to blame us for not knowing there would be onions and peppers in it, when we specifically asked… Onions weren’t mentioned in the menu either.
They also made two mistakes on my order, which wouldn’t have been a big deal, but since they also had the issue with the quesadillas, it came across as sloppy service. In the picture you can see sour cream and pico de gallo, and we know I said to exclude the pico because we joked about my pronunciation.
The margarita was weak and syrupy. The guac was good.

When I ate here over a year ago, food and service was very good. On this visit, although the food was good, the service was lacking and the salsa tasted spoiled. I’ve never had bad salsa here or anywhere else. When I mentioned to waitress, she did nothing to address issue and did not taste the salsa or mention to manager. So, they were going to keep serving that salsa. I don’t think I’ll ever be back.

I was skeptical when I saw this place, which joined a gas station but was delighted with my experience. The gentleman taking our order was very attentive and accommodated our needs well. I had the spinach quesadilla with shredded chicken and mushrooms added. Very delicious! I recommend this place.

It’s a small place, but everything is really well made and the service is polite and fast. They have the best tamales in the area, and they have papusas, which most places in the area don’t have. It’s probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Bartow, and we’ve got a lot of good ones.

The lady at the cashier stand had an attitude so I knew the food was going to be good. I stopped at the BP randomly to get gas and ran in to grab a quesadilla. One of the best quesadillas I’ve ever had in my life!

The food was ok , I’ve had better quesabirria , the consome seemed a bit old in my opinion. Nothing spectacular about this little restaurant. The horchata was powdery and the instant kind . Just kind of disappointed because the pictures of this place is why we came but flavor was lacking and so was the experience. The server was nice .

Unfortunately, not the same place/quality that I used to rave to everyone about. Had no problem frequently dropping $100+ on an order here at one point. The young woman who took my order couldn’t understand simple questions, was very dismissive, and told me that no one else could help me. I persisted & was finally helped by another. The soup didn’t have the basic meats it should have come with. The chips were old & burnt. The portions are now smaller for the price & l was charged a to-go fee on every individual meal within the same order. Pregnant & drove almost an hour past many Mexican restaurants to get to this one. Smh, very disappointed that it’s going downhill like this.

Always an enjoyable experience to eat here large portions(more of the good stuff) this is a picture of the chimichangas the entire rap is filled with ground beef and the beans and everything else is on the outside. great quality all at a good price.
